Kirill Laskari was born on July 17, 1936 in Leningrad in a family of artists. His father, Alexander Semenovich Menaker, was a famous stage actor, Kirill's mother, Irina Vladimirovna Laskari, was a ballerina at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre. Maternal grandmother Ida Liksperova was an actress and acted in films. His paternal brother is Andrei Mironov, an outstanding theater and film actor.

When it came time to decide on a profession, Kirill Laskari decided to follow in his mother's footsteps and entered the Leningrad Choreographic School, successfully graduating in 1957.
