About the theater
Grodno Drama Theater was founded in 1947. Then they gave a premiere performance called "In the same city." Quite a lot of spectators came to the session, which, as it turned out, foreshadowed the future glory of this institution.
Already two years after the opening, the Grodno Regional Drama Theater participates in the review of performances, which takes place throughout the Soviet Union. Then the theater performed a play called "Happiness", which was staged under the direction of N. Kovyazin, the main director of the theater. In the same year, he received the title of Honored Artist.
In the 1950s, several other leading artists received this title. And the exciting performance "The Year of Accomplishment" was even noted as one of the best at the Drama Theater Festival, which took place inRyazan.
The way forward
In 1953, the theater group began to work under the leadership of the honored worker of culture Alexander Mironsky, but two years later Alexander Strunin became the head of the corpse.
