The rise of Amanda Clarke as an artist

The biggest influence on Amanda was her father. Rick Clark became an artist after a long and successful career in the business. He left Inverloch, where he created and sold many works, including landscapes of the local nature. The move to Sorrento was the beginning of a love affair with the beautiful land and seascapes of the surrounding area, and many of his paintings adorn the walls of local buildings.

Rick's love of painting and drawing became a shining example for Amanda, and she recalls that she has never seen him so happy as when he held a brush in his hands.

Traveling for work and pleasure opened up amazing places around the world for her, and Amanda began to expand her repertoire, including landscapes, including sea and city, of the places she visited during her travels.

Amanda Clarke is primarily self-taught, although she has participated in many art courses and workshops. In 2010, Amanda entered the Latrobe College of Art and Design, majoring in fine arts.

This gave her knowledge and understanding of new techniques and skills in painting, graphics, sculpture and installations, and also became a valuable source of inspiration. She discovered new techniques, including street art.
