Maria Vasilievna made a living translating, when translating books, she got acquainted with science fiction. She did not like much, she decided to create something in the style of Slavic fantasy, so in 1992 she began to write "Volkodava".

The publishers called this hero the Russian Conan. The novel was written for three whole years, then a sequel was created together with Pavel Molitvin. As soon as rumors about the found stones spread, many people came here to find jewelry and get rich. In the future, some of the prospectors found gems and organized mines, while others began to serve the more fortunate ones. The location of the mountains helped to repel attacks more than once during the war. As a result, it was decided that trade would be established with the mountains.

Stone mining is carried out by slaves, mostly men, they are sold here on purpose. This place is considered hard labor, scammers, robbers, murderers are sent here. Someone sells captives, someone - objectionable people. Most often, slave traders bring slaves to the Gem Mountains, but workers who specially come to hire can work here, because they pay very well here. From time to time, women are brought to the Gem Mountains. Most of them are women of easy virtue. They play pranks with their owners or guards. Rarely come across slaves.

Villas

Villas live in the Gem Mountains, there are various legends about them. They say that they have wings, that they can fly. However, this is not entirely correct. Their growth is slightly lower than the rest, they speak an amazing language, they communicate with each other by whistling and clicking. In addition, they can communicate telepathically. They can also speak other languages. The family ties between them are very strong, and if someone finds out something, then others will know about it. In the mountains they live high, building small stone houses.

They have animals called simurans. That's what they fly on. The duty of the villas is to observe weather phenomena - they can send rain, hail, drought. The tribe is ruled by a chief and his wife. Crossbows are a common weapon. The villas can also grow vegetables.

Simurans

These are dogs, but they have wings. Once the God of Thunderstorm was very angry with people, but the dog stood up to protect his masters, he was very brave, God appreciated this. He gave wings to the dog and named him simuran. They say that simuran can bring good luck, give a wonderful harvest. Simuran also accompanies the soul that crosses the Star Bridge.

They look like dogs in appearance, big and lean. Larger than golden eagles. They have a rite of passage when a puppy is accepted into the warriors. Communicate through telepathy and verbally. Some of them are visionaries. Family ties are very strong among simurans.

Venn Tribe

For a place of residence they choose the banks of rivers or lakes, they put stoves for heating, there are no windows in the houses. Usually dwellings are made of wood. The form of government is matriarchy, the main woman is called Bolshukha. A boy under 12 is given a nickname. Then the initiation ceremony takes place. The tribe is very numerous and divided into many genera, among them Squirrels, Hares and Gray Dogs. Usually this beast is the patron of the family and passes on its qualities to the descendants. The Gray Dogs were exterminated by the Segwans.

The prototype of the Venns is Radimichi. The venns, invented by Semenova, have a lot in common with them in customs and culture. In the Dribinsky district (Belarus), a festival was held in honor of the anniversary, where you could see people in traditional Radimichi clothes.

Busy wolf

One day, the villas found in the mine a small child who had just been born. Very often it happened that women came, sometimes they became pregnant. Wanting to get rid of the child, they threw the children off the rocks or simply threw them into the mines. It was one of these children that the villas found. They picked up the baby, left him, after which they brought him to the Squirrels in the genus.

Semyonova's book "The Busy Wolf" says that a tribe of Venns, Squirrels, lived on the Svetyn River for a very long time. The boy found in their face hospitable and kind people who adopted the child for upbringing, loved him, took care of him. But who would have thought that the usual fun in the winter would end with something unexpected. At first some strange bird, then a werewolf attacked a friend. And then an ordinary-looking boy discovers an unprecedented gift - he can read other people's thoughts. Who is he? And once again, a bear came out right to the dwellings, carrying a man on his back. That man was badly hurt. From now on, allthe boy's life has changed.

"Busy Wolf-2" tells that now the hero lives with his father, in the Wolf family. However, Mavut already knows about the boy and his abilities, and therefore wants to take him into his own hands. He thinks that the Venns are just a bunch of savages, they need to be conquered somehow. He tried to do this more than once, but this did not bring him success. Nevertheless, Mavut does not leave attempts, because he understands that the Venns have some sources of light forces.

Mavut has a faithful servant called the Fiend. They called this man so because he erupted from his native tribe. However, now the Fiend is clearly up to something and does not want to help the owner. Moreover, he went over to the side of the guy and does not allow the servants of Mavut to take him away.

Meanwhile, Busom needs to find out what happened to his mother, to his father, maybe they are alive, what happened to them at all, why he ended up in a strange tribe. At first he considered his father a hero, but since the Wolves began to help the boy in his search and research, Busy began to realize that his father was not at all such a hero as he would like to think. And one day Busy Wolf and Gray Dog will meet.

What about the sequel? "Busy Wolf-3" could have been born, the Azbuka publishing house even announced this book on its website. However, this page does not currently exist. It is not yet possible to understand whether there will be a continuation or not.

Mainheroes

Fiend - helps Busom escape from Mavut, whom he previously served. Venn is from the genus of gray dogs, formerly he was called the Hardy. When the people of Kuns Vinitaria came, non-peace came with them. He was captured and released by Rezoust, who killed Busy's father. The bride came to the aid of the Tverdolyub, but she was mortally wounded. After the funeral of the girl, Rezoust persuaded Tverdolyub to go to Mavut as a student.
