"Six-winged Seraphim" is a performance, reviews of which the audience leaves kind, full of gratitude to the actors and reflections on what they saw on stage. Such a perception, devoid of claims and discontent, is quite rare for theatrical productions.
Tickets for "Seraphim", despite their high cost, sell out almost in the first week after the announcement of the date of the performance, regardless of the place and time of its holding.
The Orange Theatre, which presents this performance to the public, rarely tours the cities of Russia, even less often goes to festivals and competitions. But this did not prevent the production from receiving awards at the famous Amur Autumn.
What is the play about?
As its entrepreneur Nadezhda Orange described the performance, it is “a story about the versatility of female love and the one-sidedness of male essence”. The production is based on Elena Isayeva's play "Seraphim", the content and mood of which the performance conveys very accurately.
The action takes place in the office of a PR agency, which is called the name of its owner - "Seraphim". There are six in the showmale characters and one female role. All six men are somehow connected with Seraphim by “bonds of love” - husband, lover in the present, ex, just a fan.
Men are completely different, both in terms of personality and status, mind, manners and activities:
- artist;
- journalist;
- deputy;
- musician;
- administrator;
- military.
They have only one thing in common - Seraphim. And for some reason all the characters end up at the same time in her office.
What genre?
A comedy can be assumed from such an outset of the plot. About the "Six-winged Seraphim" (performance), reviews often begin with the fact that, after reading the announcement, they went to laugh. But this is not a comedy production, this is an incredibly beautiful, lyrical and sometimes sad dramatic performance about people, their relationships, inner world and reactions to what is happening around, as well as to each other.
As one of the well-known artists described this production - “performance-autumn”. This characteristic is confirmed by the opinions of the audience. “Six-winged Seraphim” is a performance that collects thoughtful, well-written reviews, full of various epithets and comparisons, often quite poetic.
Who is the director?
Staging the story about Seraphim on stage Alla Reshetnikova, actress and director of the Moscow Theatre.
On her account a large number of children's performances and no less impressive serious dramaproductions, both on the stage of the capital and in the provinces.
Who's on stage?
The main role was played by actress Victoria Tarasova, well-known from television films and serials. According to the content of the play, the female character radiates an incomparable energy, which attracts the attention of men, capturing their hearts forever. The femininity of the heroine is the core of the whole work.
But actress Victoria Tarasova presents Seraphim in a slightly different way - her heroine is not just feminine and beautiful, she has bitchiness and an iron grip, irony of perception and some cynicism. That is, the artist adds some earthiness to the heroine and that set of qualities that the head of a successful business could hardly do without.
Although the heroine has several male "wings", one stands out among them. This role is played by actor Andrey Chadov. His character's name is Igor, and the place allotted in the life of Seraphim is "acting lover." Chadov's character appears on stage in the middle of the first act, adding intrigue to the development of the plot and questions to the audience.
In addition to Tarasova and Chadov, the actors are busy with the "Six-winged Seraphim":
- Valery Nikolaev;
- Vadim Andreev or Alexander Naumov;
- Dmitry Malashenko or Igor Vorobyov;
- Ilya Bledny;
- Anatoly Smiranin.
Each of them creates a rather colorful and unique hero, successfully complementing and shading the main femalecharacter.
How long does it take? Are there any restrictions?
Duration of the performance itself - 2 hours 10 minutes. The performance is in two acts with an intermission. The total duration of the event may vary depending on the stage and city, since the time allotted for the break depends on the organizers. Going to this performance, you need to count on a couple and a half hours.
On posters, the age limit is determined by the number "16+". Although there is no vulgarity or morally controversial points in the content, children and teenagers should not go to the performance. This is a very adult performance, designed for a viewer over the threshold of thirty.
Of course, the perception of any production depends solely on the individual, and often people at the age of 20 turn out to be more wiser in life than those who celebrated their half-century anniversary. But young people will not understand many moments in the relationship between the characters and the nuances of what is happening on stage.
What are they saying?
"Six-winged Seraphim" - a performance, the reviews are extremely positive. They do not scold him, do not criticize the performance of the artists, do not discuss the dynamics, or vice versa - the protractedness of the action.
Today, such a reaction from the public is a rarity, especially considering such a moment as the frequent designation of the genre during the tour on posters - "comedy". It is difficult to say whether this benevolent acceptance by the public is connected with the plot or with the work of the artists.
Perhaps audiences are tired of comedies. "Seraphim" at the momentis a breath of fresh air. Although dramatic performances are presented in every city, the material for them is taken, as a rule, in the “tested” dramaturgy, and watching for the hundredth time the interpretation of a literary work read at school is boring even for the regulars of theater halls.
