Childhood
Nikolai Dmitriev was born in the village of Arkhangelskoye (Ruzsky district of the Moscow region) in 1953. The boy's parents - Klavdia Fedorovna and Fedor Dmitrievich - were rural teachers. It was they who instilled in Nikolai a love of reading, books, poetry and Russian literature. Fedor Dmitrievich knew Tyutchev, Nekrasov, Fet and other authors by heart. He also composed ditties himself and loved to play the harmonica.
Nikolai wrote his first poems in the ninth grade. The boy sent them to the local newspaper. A few days later he read his first publication. Luckily for him, the newspaper editor was a professional poet.
Studies and publications
In 1969Nikolai Dmitriev entered the Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Literature and the Russian Language. Also, the young man regularly visited the Osnova literary organization, which was under the editorial office of Orekhovo-Zuevskaya Pravda.
The first selection of poems by Nikolai Dmitriev was published in youth periodicals - "Young Guard", "Youth" and "Student Meridian". Other poets highly appreciated his literary work. For example, Rimma Kazakova wrote that she was lucky to see the origins of the birth of a young talent. Two books
In 1974, Dmitriev met Nikolai Starshinov, who worked at the publishing house "Young Guard" as the editor of the almanac "Poetry". He supported the young man, calling him "the most talented author of the 80s."
In 1975, the above-mentioned publishing house published Nikolai's first book, "I am from this world." As a result, she became the "Best collection of poems of the year." The author also received an award of the same name. So at the age of 24, the poet Nikolai Fedorovich Dmitriev was admitted to the Writers' Union, becoming its youngest and most talented member. In 1978, the second book of the poet, "On the very, very" was published. After that, Nikolai Dmitriev became the Laureate of the Ostrovsky Competition. At the end of the same year, the young man was given an apartment in the city of Balashikha.
New works and awards
Nikolay lived there for more than twenty years. Perduring this time, the poet wrote several collections of poems: “The Living Darkness”, “With You”, “Three Billion Seconds”, “Hail”, “Winter Mushroom Picker”, “Between Reality and Sleep”. And the author also won several awards: Lenin Komsomol (1981), Alexander Nevsky (2003) and Anton Delvig (2005, posthumously).
In 2004, Nikolai Dmitriev released his last collection of poems "Nightingales" (he died in 2005). At that time, the poet lived in Moscow, but held a presentation of the publication in his beloved Balashikha, in the library named after. Tyutchev. After all, this city was truly native for Dmitriev. There Nikolai taught Russian and led a literary circle. His children, Margarita and Eugene, grew up in Balashikha. Memory

So, in November 2007, a memorial plaque was opened to the poet at school No. 2. In February 2008, the family reading library was named after the poet. It also organized a museum exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the hero of this article.
Since 2011, the Dmitrievsky Readings project has been operating, which was approved by the Ministry of Culture. It includes the annual organization and holding of serious events dedicated to the work and life of Nikolai Fedorovich. These are excursionshours and evenings of poetry, round tables, festivals, competitions of readers, etc. Holding such events contributes to the formation of patriotic education and historical awareness of the youth. Also, the department of culture, with the support of the administration of the city of Balashikha, published a book for the younger generation - a collection of Dmitriev's poems called "For the Word to shine."
In the city district there is a literary association "Metaphor". Its members take an active part in all activities related to perpetuating the memory of the teacher, citizen and author Nikolai Dmitriev.
In April 2013, the Council of Deputies in Balashikha adopted a decision “On perpetuating the memory of the talented poet N. F. Dmitriev. A year later, it came into force, and one of the streets in the Alekseevskaya Grove area under construction was named after him.
