"The Schumacher Brothers" - a tandem of colorful Odessa humor

It seems that there is a very special air in Odessa, otherwise how to explain the fact that this particular city gave us many comedians. Roman Kartsev, members of the Gentleman Show, Mikhail Zhvanetsky, as well as the relatively recent duo of the Schumacher Brothers.

Graduates of the Maritime University

The life of the inhabitants of Odessa is connected either with the sea, or with trade, or with humor. Sergei Tsvilovsky and Yuri Veliky, members of the humorous duet, have not changed this good tradition. Both of them studied at the Odessa National Maritime University, which Zhvanetsky M. and Ilchenko V. graduated from at the time

Sergey after his studies even managed to work for 5 years in his speci alty, until he finally made a choice in favor of humor. Yuri, from the first year, became interested in playing on the student theater stage, becoming a member of the KVN team. Actually, here in 1997 the future participants of the show "The Schumacher Brothers" met. A couple of years later, having come to the conclusion that they are good at joking together, they created their own humorousduet.

Cooperation with Studio Kvartal-95

The name "The Schumacher Brothers" was born in 2005, when Yuri and Sergey moved from playing in the KVN team to participating with their own numbers in one TV project. However, it was necessary to come up with a name for the duet. It was then that they remembered the joke of their friends who once compared them with the Schumacher racers.

Some time later, Yuri and Sergey met Vladimir Zelensky, a Ukrainian producer and showman, one of the founders of the famous Studio Kvartal-95. He specially came to Odessa to get acquainted with a humorous duet, about which he had already heard a lot. After watching their performance, Zelensky suggested that the “brothers” move to Kyiv and become part of the Evening Quarter team.

Cooperation continued until the spring of 2017. By this time, the comic duo from Odessa became so popular that the TV channel "Ukraine" offered them to host their own program.

The Schumacher Brothers show

The new show premiered on June 3rd. The channel's management is convinced that in our time, when the air is replete with a mass of negative news, humor allows you to immerse yourself in an atmosphere of ease, thus removing some of the daily stress from yourself.

The show of the Odessa duet is ironic jokes on the eternal theme of the relationship between women and men. Tsvilovsky plays the role of an inveterate bachelor, and the Great plays the role of an exemplary family man. At the same time, both of them are trying to answer the question of how to make a womanhappy. In addition to them, other actors take part in the program.

Behind the scenes

The Schumacher Brothers do not shroud their personal lives in secret. Both of them are married, and Sergei Tsvilovskiy by his second marriage. Both are raising daughters. In his free time, Sergei enjoys playing poker or reading, while Yuri enjoys modeling sailboats and skating.

Besides this, comedians from Odessa sometimes help their wives in the kitchen. Yuri even admitted in an interview that the process of washing dishes, on the one hand, has a calming effect on him, and on the other hand, it helps to plan tomorrow and come up with new humorous numbers.

At the moment, The Schumacher Brothers Show already has its own audience, which includes not only adults, but also children.
