Alena Shoptenko is a dancer who became the world champion in ballroom dancing under 21 twice. Better known in wide circles as the winner of the TV show called “Dancing with the Stars”.

Biography

Alena Shoptenko was born on December 21, 1987. Her homeland is the city of Kyiv. She started dancing at the age of 6. 7 years later, at the age of 13, Alena earned the place of the champion of her city and reached the semi-finals in the tournament called "Hermann Open".

In 2006, the dancer received the title of world champion in 10 types of dance. After a short time, she was announced the winner of a show called Dancing with the Stars. In the issue, Vladimir Zelensky became her partner.

In 2007 Alena Shoptenko won the Ukrainian championship and took part in the project “Dancing with the Stars 3”.

In 2009, she competed in the second and third parts of the above project, the last one being a choreographer's battle, where she got a silver place against two others.

Relatives

Alena's mother is a neuropathologist in one of the hospitals in Kyiv. Her father runs a mushroom farm and grows mushrooms. She is known to havetwo brothers, but there is not much information about them.

Private life

In 2013 Alena Shoptenko became the wife of professional dancer Dmitry Dikusar. She accepted Dmitry's offer in Kyiv, at home. On July 16, the couple took an oath before God in one of the churches of Georgia, located in the picturesque mountains.

According to Alena herself, they decided to get married in Georgia for the reason that it was the place that marked the beginning of their relationship. The beauty of this beautiful country also played an important role.

Divorce

In 2016, the couple broke up. Although, it would seem, the couple was already thinking about having children, which the TV presenter of the show “Secular Life” Katya Osadcha constantly asked them about, but after almost three years of marriage, news of a divorce appeared. She was later confirmed by Alena herself, talking a little about the reason. The decision was mutual, and there is no one specific reason. As Alena said, sometimes the best thing a couple can take for each other is to decide to break up.

Appearance

According to Alena Shoptenko, hair plays an important role in her appearance. She does not dye them, she has naturally light hair color. In an interview, she said that she dyed her hair only once in her life, and the result was not very impressive. She tried using a chestnut tint, and when it interacted with her natural blonde hair, the dye turned it red, in the end she had to walk around until it washed off.

She conducted experiments only on the length of her hair. As a child, she had long hair below her waist. They were naughty, and they had to constantly wear a tail, and the young dancer did not like this. It so happened that she herself had to correct them, which led to bad consequences. As a result, Alena Shoptenko uses various medical cosmetics to somehow correct the situation.

It can be said that Alena Shoptenko is completely devoted to her dancing career. Her motto in life is “if you suffer for a long time, something will work out.” In an interview, she said that in her first competition she took only fifth place. After that, life taught her that victories do not come so easily. Subsequent triumphs brought her hard work on herself. In her opinion, only in this way is it possible to achieve something, and if you fully invest in a business, it will give its result.
