After talking with Kirill and making an interview with him, one of the journalists called him "a man with a beautiful voice and beautiful thoughts." It’s hard to disagree with this, especially if you read the showman’s life credo, in which the most important quality of an artist is proclaimed to be “a big and wide soul.”

Kirill Lopatkin, KVN: beginning

The Saratov KVN team led by Lopatkin (in 2013 - champion of the Premier League, since 2014 - twice winner of the semi-finals of the Major League) is considered one of the most interesting teams whose sparkling, witty humor promises to future conquest of new heights. Not the last role in the team's success is played by the captain's participation in its fate. How did it all start?

His friendship with KVN began at school, with a defeat that was remembered for a long time.

After high school at the Saratov Technical University, Kirill Lopatkin played in the faculty team and soon became a captain. By this time, he discovered the abilities of a parodist: he was good at copying images, voices, intonations. Debutparodist brought success: the role of "Mickey Mouse - Cattle" brought the first diploma for the best acting game.

Then there was a difficult path of ups and downs, when an understanding was formed of what an important place KVN occupies in his life.

And in 2008 the first serious success came - the team won the festival "KVN on the Volga" and received universal recognition.

Voice

In 2010, at the game in Sochi, the audience laughed and clapped for Lopatkin and his voice, which later, for the sake of the team's victory, had to be forgotten for a while: they had to develop their own style, learn to come up with smart jokes, containing useful information for the viewer that makes him think. It was their principle: only useful information from the SSTU team!

He will later tell journalists about his voice, in each interview calling this distinctive feature of the humorist's talent his "calling card": "This is a collective image of parodies of different people."

When the young artist realized that he had certain “oratorical” abilities and began to use them more and more during his performances, it was time to do special exercises to preserve and develop his voice. But he did not try to improve the timbre by eating raw eggs in the morning …

Captain

Then, in 2010, the team won the regional league and received money from the government to participate in the Sochi-2011 game.

By this time, Kirill Lopatkin graduated from the university and began working in his speci alty in a large Saratov gas company, combining work with intense rehearsals.

The team already had a new uniform, but the skill still needed to be improved.

And at the 2011 Festival of the Leagues of Moscow and the Region, the team "Saratov" "broke" the hall! The team was taken in the season, and this was the beginning of their success story.

Cyril calls the duties of the captain very difficult, and this indicates a high level of awareness of his responsibility to the guys. In disputes, the captain must objectively weigh the arguments of each of the team members. In addition, his responsibilities include organizing the process of preparing for the game, informing about the news, communicating with management, sponsors. But he can always rely on the support of the guys.

I'll stop making jokes at 80

Like any professional comedian, Kirill Lopatkin answers journalists' questions about humor very seriously. In his opinion, a sense of humor should be an integral quality of every man. It is given at birth, but develops in the process of education. He is grateful to his father for his sense of humor: as a child, he enthusiastically listened to his talented, original jokes, “absorbed” them into himself. Now humor is his "way of life", and more recently - a means of earning money.

A joke, according to Kirill, begins with an observation that gives birth to an idea. Information is collected, processed through the prism of humor and presented in a funny way.

They don't have a specific algorithm for creating a joke in their team. It is born in a collective brainstorming, the collection of ideas takes place bit by bit, all team members take part in this. During a general discussion (in disputes, playing out), they come up with a result that suits the whole group.

A sense of humor, of course, helps in everyday life: sometimes a good joke manages to smooth out a conflict, win over a person…

For any KVN (sportsman, dancer) at a certain age, a career comes to an end. Plans for the future include work in television and film.

"I think I'll stop making jokes at the age of 80!" - Kirill Lopatkin, whose biography is just beginning, jokes about this.
