It often happens that children, growing up, choose the path of their parents. But there are many exceptions. The young actor Ilya Iosifov became such an exception. Contrary to the expectations and hopes of his father, the boy knew from childhood what his destiny was, and chose his own creative path.

Actor biography

Ilya Iosifov was born into a family of representatives of the creative intelligentsia: his mother worked in the theater, and his father was a professional graphic artist. The boy definitely had artistic inclinations from birth, and his parents enrolled Ilya in an art studio. Teachers praised his abilities and predicted a great future for him, Ilya even took second prize in the prestigious art competition "Young Talents of Moscow". The boy's father hoped that his son would follow in his footsteps. However, Ilya did not get any pleasure from drawing and did not strive to do this.

Nature rewarded Ilya Iosifov with a good ear for music - he studied at a music school for several years. However, even here the young man did not show zeal, so the next stop was the mathematical school. Going to college and starting an acting career

At the entrance exams to the theater college, Ilya Iosifov conquered the commission and passed the exams with flying colours. Iosifov recalls how he was discouraged by the methods of the teacher, but a non-trivial approach to teaching contributed to his passion for the theater of the absurd and in his third year he took part in a free production of Alice in Wonderland.

After graduating from college, Iosifov entered the Institute of Humanities at the acting department and studied at the course of Yuri Klepikov. After graduating from the institute, Ilya Iosifov begins working in the Praktika experimental theater, where he plays in the play Life is Successful. Soon he moved to the theater of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan. In the film, Ilya Iosifov played the role of the programmer Misha.
