Italian writer Roberta Rizzo writes adventure novels for children. Roberta was born in 1957 in Venice. Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Ca'Foscari University. She studied at Moscow University, wrote a dissertation, which was based on works on psychology. Roberta Rizzo worked as a school teacher for several years and did research work in child psychology. In 1985, she took up crime journalism.
In 2003, Roberta made her literary debut, publishing her first book under the pseudonym Mooney Witcher. "Nina - the girl of the Sixth Moon" is a work that marked the beginning of a fantasy cycle for children. Later, Rizzo began several more book series: about the boy Gino and the girl Morga. The adventures of the girl Nina, the trilogy about Morgue and the boy Gino are translated into Russian. In 2004the writer founded Sesta Luna, a children's event company.
The adventures of girl Nina
The first book in the cycle is about a girl, Nina, who moves to her grandfather's house in Italy. Her parents work in Russia at a secret base. The grandfather-professor dies under mysterious circumstances, and the secrets hidden in this big house await the girl. She finds books on alchemy that must be deciphered using the secret alphabet, and continues the work of her grandfather - she fights against universal evil in the face of Prince Karkon.
It is noteworthy that Mooney Witcher's books are written in easy, one might say, childish language. The author of the books is familiar with child psychology, and it is not surprising that interesting and kind books quickly found their way to the hearts of young readers. The next part about the adventures of the girl Nina and her friends is read in one breath - “Nina and the riddle of the Eighth Note”.
"Nina and the Spell of the Feathered Serpent", the third book in the cycle, takes its little readers along with the heroes of the book to Mexico, where they have to fight the Black Magician. Magic falls on Nina, but the ancient Mayan god comes to the girl's aid. In the fourth part of Nina and the Secret Eye of Atlantis, betrayal and a touching hint of romantic feelings appear. Mooney Witcher's characters seem a little older, but the adventure remains the same - thrilling and engaging, with ethereal creatures, alchemy drugs and cards.
