Do you like serials? And do you like vampire themes? In this case, you will certainly not be disappointed by watching the series "True Blood". Reviews and comments about it can be read on many sites on the Internet. And, judging by them, most viewers are quite satisfied and do not consider that the time spent watching the series is wasted.

Series plot

For many centuries, vampires lived side by side with people, hiding in the night and only occasionally committing brutal murders to feed on the blood of mere mortals. However, everything changes after artificial blood was invented in Japan. Now vampires do not have to kill people at all - they no longer want to hide, but want to become ordinary citizens. The vast majority officially refused to drink human blood, completely switching to synthetic and not posing any danger to others.

However, some people still do not like the former bloodsuckers, who previously could only be heard about infairy tales and cheap horror films. The number of "vampirophobes" is especially high in the outback, for example, in the town of Bon Tam, which is lost in the open spaces of Louisiana.

But a girl named Suki Stackhouse, who lives here and works as a waitress at a local bar, has nothing against vampires. Which is not surprising - since childhood, Suki has been an outcast. And it's all about her telepathic abilities, making it easy to read the thoughts of any person she meets.

And one day Bill Compton, a young 173-year-old vampire, dropped in at Merlot's, the bar where Suki worked. Relations are established between them, but the locals are not at all going to recognize them as something normal. The situation escalated significantly when a chain of brutal murders took place in Bon Tam. The townspeople have no doubt that Bill is behind this. What will such a complex set of circumstances lead to?

Structure of seasons

The series has a very interesting structure. Unlike most, when all events unfold around the same main characters, here the situation is different.

The seasons are practically unrelated. Each of them tells a separate story with which the main characters are associated. To enrich the storyline, the seasons also include side stories that revolve around additional characters. New seasons bring new enemies. Of course, the heroes have to confront them in order to save themselves and their loved ones.

When the premiere took place

First episodethe first season aired on September 7, 2008. Thereafter, a new episode was released every week. In total, the season included 12 episodes, so the last one was released on November 23 of the same year.

Subsequently, the trend changed. All subsequent seasons began to show in the middle or end of June. Due to the preserved periodicity - one episode every week - the season ended by the end of August or, at most, mid-September. Nothing to say - this is a very good decision. Most popular TV shows start airing new episodes from September, leaving the summer virtually empty with only old episodes being re-aired. Therefore, this approach partly provided more views and, accordingly, more popularity.

There were a dozen episodes in the first five seasons. And only in the last two - ten each.

To date, all seasons of the series "True Blood" have been released - the last on August 24, 2014. So, vampire lovers may well watch all the episodes at once, without waiting for the release of new ones on the screen.

Main characters

And all these myths were invented by the vampires themselves in order to reduce the effectiveness of hunters and protect themselves from persecution. But they do not get along with silver - the slightest contact is enough for the vampire to be temporarily paralyzed. Yes, sunlight can burn them. A proven wooden stake is effective like nothing else. For any other wounds, the vampire can use incredible regeneration - all he needs to do is drink blood.

A mere vampire bite is not enough to make a person a vampire. In addition, the vampire must also give him their blood, after which the human-vampire pair must spend the night in the grave.

As you can see, some of the dogmas from the universe of the series were fictional or heavily modified from the classic legends.

Bloopers in the series

Despite good reviewsseries "True Blood", without blunders could not do here.

In the third season, Eric talks to Evette, who was introduced to him as a resident of Estonia. At the same time, she says to him in Russian: "Hello", to which he replies, also in Russian: "Wait here!"
