Childhood

Kerdan Alexander was born in the small Ural town of Korkino, Chelyabinsk Region, on January 11, 1957. Neither the environment of a small, deeply provincial, mining town, nor a family far from creative work, nothing seemed to contribute to the development of the boy's literary talent, but fate decreed otherwise.

The writer recalls that from the age of three he began to rhyme words. So, when he saw a woman in trousers, which was a rarity at that time, he gave out a “poem”: “nah-nah-naranah - a woman in pants is walking.” At school, Alexander was the permanent editor of the wall newspaper, in which his satirical works on topical topics regularly appeared: truants, losers. However, no one, including the future writer himself, attached importance to these poetic opuses. The ability and desire to write was considered insignificant.an ability that is unlikely to be useful in the future.

Military career

After school, Alexander Kerdan decides to become a professional soldier and enters the Kurgan Higher Military-Political Aviation School, which he graduated in 1978 with a gold medal and a diploma with honors. He brilliantly studies at the Military-Political Academy at the Faculty of Education and in the postgraduate course of the Military University in Moscow. For 27 years, Kerdan Alexander has been serving in the Russian army. He went from a political worker and teacher of a military university to a military journalist: children's talents made themselves felt. Kerdan wrote for the central magazines of the Ministry of Defense: "I have the honor", "Landmark", "Warrior of Russia". Having risen to the rank of colonel, in 2001 he retired, his new life begins.

The path to science

Teaching work inspired Alexander Kerdan to study science. In 1996, his cultural studies on the topic "Art in the system of means of forming the honor of an officer of the Armed Forces of Russia" became the basis for defending a dissertation for the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences. In 2007, he defended his doctoral dissertation in cultural studies on the topic "The social prestige of public service in Russia: a cultural analysis (on the example of the formation of officer honor)". Kerdan writes and publishes his first poems while still a cadet at a military school. He spends a lot of effort on organizing meetings and gatherings of writers in his region, is the initiator of the creation of the literary competition. D. N. Mamin-Sibiryak, is a member of the group of founders of the ASPUR publishing house.

Alexander Kerdan, whose books are widely popular, has repeatedly been awarded various prizes, in particular, the name of A. Green, A. Suvorov, Tatishchev, he has repeatedly won literary competitions.
