Childhood and debut

The future Honored Artist of the RSFSR saw this world in his mother's homeland - in the Kaluga region (Kiselyovo village) in 1947. There he spent his early years. A little later, the whole family moved tocapital.

The first time Boris Tokarev appeared on the silver screen at the age of twelve, when he played the role of Victor in Georgy Pobedonostsev's film The Saved Generation. This film told the story of a teacher who was able to lead several orphans out of Leningrad, which was under siege, during the war. Thanks to these shootings, a wide road to the vast world of theater and cinema opened up before the young artist.

Some time after the completion of this film, the play "Pillars of Society" needed an actor to play the role of the consul's son. As a rule, such characters on the theatrical stage are embodied by female drag queens. The assistant remembered the boy and suggested that the director try a talented teenager in this role. This is how the debut of the young actor on the theater stage took place. Now he spent his days at school in the classroom, and the evenings were devoted to theater and acting in performances.

Where are you, who are you, my love?

Boris Tokarev, whose personal life from the very beginning of his creative career was under close attention of loyal admirers of his talent, met his future wife on the set of Edmond Keosayan's youth film story "Where are you now, Maxim?" They were fifteen at the time.

Showing Lyudmila Gladunko's photo test to the future hero, the director warned the young man with a smile not to accidentally fall in love with a girl. And so it happened. From the very moment when Borya looked at the photo of a girl with expressive eyes andshort hair, he realized he was missing.

And only after that there were years of study at VGIK, quivering dates, a tender declaration of love … The young people entered into marriage back in 1969. They have been inseparable ever since.

First Achievements

As a student, Boris Tokarev starred in several films. Shooting in the film "Fidelity" was quite successful, where he even played a cameo role with his inherent charm, which made him remembered by many viewers.

After graduation, the actor comes to the Theater of the Soviet Army. But, since cinema, and not backstage, has always remained his prerogative, after only a year he left there. By the way, the cinema has always been very, very favorable towards Tokarev.

During the period from 1969 to 1971, he starred in tapes of different directions. There are film stories, military films, musical dramas and military adventure films.

And it is impossible not to dwell on three pictures, thanks to which the image of the courageous, decent, honest hero Boris Tokarev was formed on the screen. These are "Two Captains", "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" and "Hot Snow".

Initially, he did not like the offer to act in the drama "Hot Snow", because he really did not want to go to Novosibirsk. He refused in every possible way, until the director of Mosfilm himself forced him to go there. And this trip turned out to be a breakthrough in the career of an actor. Getting into the image of Lieutenant Kuznetsov was a rare success. He literally sang of all the guys from the times of the Great Patriotic War, who, fighting,didn't know about the existence of the words "can't". The picture turned out to be the perfect duet of Boris Tokarev and Nikolai Eremenko. The result of the work was the State Prize of the RSFSR, received by Tokarev in 1972.

Another small, but very memorable and significant role in the actor's career is the character of the border guard Osyanin ("The Dawns Here Are Quiet").

23 years after the first film adaptation of the novel by Veniamin Kaverin "Two Captains", in 1976, a new film adaptation took place. Boris Tokarev, whose biography is of constant interest to fans of his talent, played Sanya Grigoriev. It was a great happiness for the actor, because the book was among his favorites. After the release of the screens, the picture became a cult. There was a precise hit in eternity.

Another highlight: the film's amazing cast. These are Nikolai Gritsenko, Elena Prudnikova, Yuri Bogatyrev, Irina Pechernikova.

New Millennium

Back in the 80s, Boris Tokarev, whose photo periodically appears on the pages of many glossy publications, acted as a director of several films, traditionally shooting his wife in them. In the second half of the 90s, he fell out of sight, but not out of the profession. They started talking about him again in 2003, when his picture “My Prechistenka” was released, because it was an epic that covered the period from 1900 to 2000. It was this series that opened the way to the big screen for many young actors.

One of his latest directorial works is the film "Distance" about the famous runner Olga Masterkova. BorisTokarev starred in the film himself, playing an official from the Olympic Committee.

The couple are still working together, and Lyudmila starred in almost all the films of her talented husband. Their son Stepan, who was born in the mid-70s, although he starred in several TV series, did not want to connect his life with cinema.
