Candice Knight is a famous American singer, poet, radio host, as well as the wife and inspirer of one of the most famous musicians in the rock genre - Ritchie Blackmore, under whose leadership Candice achieved incredible success in her musical career. She is also a co-founder of the folk-rock project Blackmore's Night.
Biography
Candice Lauren Izralov was born on May 8, 1971 in Hoppog, New York, to a family of a doctor and a teacher. Candace's parents were descendants of Jewish immigrants from the Russian Empire. In the family, the girl was not the only child and grew up with her younger brother Jeret and sister Susan.
Parents encouraged Candace's interest in music, and the girl learned to play the piano. From the age of 12, Candace decides to work in the modeling business, but soon she realizes that her vocation is music, and after graduating from school she enters the New York Institute of Technology, where she studies the theory of sound recording, and also begins to host her own radio show.
That's when Candace took her characteristic stage name "Night", which means "night" in English.
Blackmore's Night
In 1989, Candace met former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, with whom she began a romantic relationship.
Blackmore gradually won the attention of Candice Knight, conquered her heart, and soon the press begins to consider them an official couple, because Richie appeared everywhere with a young fan, paying more and more attention to her both in his personal life and in his creative career.
With Blackmore's suggestion, Candace begins writing lyrics for his band Rainbow, and also sings vocals on some songs.
In 1997, Ritchie Blackmore disbanded the last composition of Rainbow, and soon, together with Candice, he founded a new project - Blackmore's Night, which gained immense popularity in many countries of the world thanks to colorful shows and performances of folk songs from various countries of Northern Europe.
Private life
In the winter of 1994, Candice Knight got engaged to Ritchie Blackmore. Many years later, in the fall of 2008, the couple legalized their relationship, and two years later the young couple had a daughter, Autumn Esmeralda. Two years later, Candice Knight gave birth to Blackmore's son, Rory Dartagnan.
The couple live in America in the we althy area of Mount Sinai.
