Sokolov Alexander: from popularity to obscurity

Soviet actor Solovyov Alexander in this life was, it seems, an absolutely random person. He seemed to choose for himself the world in which he wanted to be born. But by mistake, he opened the wrong door at all, and, stepping into it out of ordinary curiosity, he no longer found his way back.

Alexander walked through life like a child, marveling at the cynicism and cruelty present in him. So he died - forgotten and unidentified by everyone.

Be a clown for fun…

Alexander Sokolov, an actor in the future, was born in August 1952, not only seven months old, but weighing only one and a half kilograms. Such babies survive in very rare cases, especially if they are born in a remote northern village. But in that summer month, a miracle happened.

Mom nursed him for a long time in a warm scarf. When she went out for a walk with her son, people around thought that the woman was taking out a cat.

Sasha grew up as a very kind boy. Since childhood, he dreamed of becoming a clown, in order, like Oleg Popov, to amuse people. And all because Sasha wanted to do so,so people never cry. He really was a bright child. And he inexplicably managed to keep these qualities of character for the rest of his life.

Total independence

While Alexander Sokolov was a schoolboy, he never changed his dream, being sure that it was the most correct one. Having received a certificate, he left to enter GITIS. And there he immediately conquered the examination board with his spontaneity and the absence of all kinds of complexes. Later, these qualities interfered with his work, because he could honestly say that the proposed play was not interesting, and the director had absolutely no talent. And Alexander was not afraid of being fired. In such a dependent acting profession, he was a black sheep, being completely independent. And being very talented.

When Alexander Sokolov, an actor whose photo was very often printed in glossy publications in Soviet times, graduated from the institute, he happened to play three roles in a graduation performance based on the play by Vasily Shukshin. The author himself was then in the hall, he was completely delighted with the performance of the young actor.

In the seventies and eighties, many good pictures got into his piggy bank. Alexander starred in "Women's Club", "Boris Godunov", "Adam marries Eve", "Such a short long life" … In each of his roles, he was wonderful. And yet, most viewers remember the role of Handsome. Indeed, he was beautiful in thisreincarnation actor Alexander Sokolov. "The Green Van" - a film that the audience saw 35 years ago, in 1983, is still loved by them in many respects precisely because of Solovyov.

Lyudochka and Lyudmila

Despite the fact that many girls were crazy about Alexander, for the first time love overtook him in his third year at the institute. It was then that the fragile fair-haired Lyudochka Radchenko entered the first year. Their relationship was discussed by the entire institute. They got married in the spring of 1971, soon their son Sashenka was born.

The spouses were not embarrassed by the living conditions of the student hostel. What bothered Alexander was the fact that he took to the stage of the theater for a long time as an extra. But then the actor moved to ROMT, where they began to offer him the main roles. Everything seemed to be getting better, but after a while everything changed.

Sokolov Alexander met his love in the new theater, and quite by accident, seeing Lyudmila Gnilova on stage. She had been married for several years, raising a six-year-old daughter. But Alexander, having fallen in love instantly, after a single friendly kiss on the cheek, announced his feeling to the whole theater. At home, he immediately informed his wife as well.

He sought Lyudmila's favor for three whole years. But Gnilova divorced her husband not because of him, but when she found out about the mistress pregnant from her husband. They signed with Sasha shortly after the divorce. And then they got married in Novosibirsk with a friend of the father. In 1979, their son Misha was born.

They lived two happy decades. But at some pointSokolov Alexander began to drink. He did not go into binges, but he often drank alcohol. The early nineties were a difficult time for him. There was no job, no money. The actor worked as a private driver. From problems "treated" with alcohol. Together with his wife, they were looking for a good clinic to rid him of such an addiction.

Last Love…

Once in Feodosia, where Alexander left for treatment, he met Irina Pechernikova, whom he had known since 1969. They were treated by the same doctor. At the same time, their romance began, which, however, did not end in anything then, because Misha was still small. But when the boy became an adult, Alexander went to Irina. They say they got married.

They lived together for three years. They lived outside the city, the actor did housework, baked bread, fished. The tragedy happened on the night of December 25-26, 1999. A decently dressed, undocumented man with a craniocerebral wound on the back of his head was found on the street. He was sent to the Sklifisovsky Institute, where he died on January 1, 2000, unidentified. The body lay there for three weeks, until one of the mortuary staff realized that the deceased looked a lot like Handsome from the Green Van.
