Pyotr Mamonov. The film "The Island" in the life of an actor

According to his convictions, the artist began to choose paintings. "Island", filmed in 2006, and "Tsar", a film from 2009, touch on the theme of religion, faith and Orthodoxy.

But Mamonov played especially well in the film "The Island". The main role assigned to Peter by the director, in collaboration with whom the actor had already received an award in the 90s, very much coincided with the life of the actor himself. Some even consider the painting to be some kind of Mamonov's "autobiography".
