Storyline
“Sublimation of Love” is a performance based on a comedy play by Aldo de Benedetti. In the Italian version, the name sounds like this: "Paola and the lions." There are only three characters here: the elderly deputy Leone Savasta, the young writer Paola - an energetic and sharp-tongued woman, and the unsuccessful writer Pietro Degani. Situation comedy is a genre where many events happen unexpectedly, and the main plot conflict occurs completely by accident.
Deghani lives in the same house with MP Savasta. One day, Pietro accidentally gets to Leone's apartment. He witnesses how the deputy tries to seduce Paola. But he fails to win the heart of a young girl, he is hindered in this by age, the lack of male charm and the unromantic nature. But the Deputy is not going to retreat from his goal and wants to achieve Paola at all costs.
Pietro and Savasta meet. Degani complains to the deputy that he has written many plays, but no one publishes them, and theaters do not stage performances based on them. Leone agrees to printPietro's works under his own name, in order to pass off other people's plays as his own, to conquer Paola with his talent and attract her attention to himself. This production has everything: intrigue, love triangle, deceit, double games. The play "Sublimation of Love" staged by Alexei Kiryushchenko is funny, touching, funny, and not at all vulgar.
