The feature-length debut project of director Anton Bormatov "Alien" (actors: N. Romanycheva, K. Polukhin, A. Otradnov, E. Mundum, A. Golubkov, E. Tkachuk) is an arthouse parable about the true nature of evil.

Storyline

The story takes place during the dashing 90s. A team of "brothers" in the amount of 4 people is sent to the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, in order to deliver the sister of the recently arrested crime boss Babai. Angela, she is Alien, for the accomplices of the arrested person should become the guarantor of his silence. And everything would be fine, but the girl turns out to be something like the embodiment of a dark goddess, whose nature is completely devoid of any principles, but filled with hellish cynicism.

Creators

Three adequate films were shot about the events taking place in the fatherland and neighboring countries: "Brigade", approaching the level of genius "Boomer" and the cult "Brother". Fans of the crime drama genre expected Alien (including the actors) to be the fourth. Critics predicted the similarity of the picture with "Natural Born Killers" or "Nikita", but the authors created something else. The film "Alien", the actors and roles of which were selected by the well-known KonstantinErnst, was filmed based on the work of a certain Vladimir "Adolfich" Nesterenko, who, according to rumors, knew what he was writing about firsthand. The film rights to his opus were acquired by Konstantin Ernst and Igor Tolstunov (producers who always choose catchy stories and know how to interpret them correctly). It is no coincidence that the creators made bets on dark horses, preparing for the filming of the drama "Alien" (2010), - the actors are all little known, from provincial theater troupes, the director is a debutant, formerly a TV serialist.

Outrageous Confidence

The picture is absolutely adequate to the script. The atmosphere of the 90s is recreated with amazing frenzied perfectionism. All the characters in the picture are real, alive, behave as they should be. Absolutely every moment convinces the viewer of the reality of what is happening: the actors are unknown, no one pulls the blanket over themselves, everyone is extremely careful - the director, the cameraman, the performers of the main roles. Drama "Alien" - a film (2010), whose actors, especially Kirill Polukhin (Baby) and Natalya Romanycheva (Alien), create an incredible degree of authenticity of what is happening.

The most powerful benefit performance

Sama Alien (during filming, the actors called the actress one way or another) - intelligent theater actress Natalya Romanycheva - one of the biggest successes of the film. Even the very first frame with her direct participation gives what is happening a certain meaning. Prior to this project, almost none of the domestic filmmakers managed to showa heroine on whom the white light would converge like a wedge. It was her debut role on the big screen and the lead actress is flawless. The authors made the right decision and took advantage of the luck of the casting, highlighting the relationship between Alien and Nimble in the second part. The accents placed by the creator and embodied by the actors on the screen are reminiscent of the story of Prosper Merimee "Carmen". It turns out that the heroine of Romanycheva is one of the film incarnations of the classic gypsy.

Yevgeny Tkachuk made his debut in a big movie in 2007 and before the filming of "Alien" he managed to try on the role of a director and screenwriter, together with his friend Daniil Vorobyov to create a short film "Prayer". The experiment was successful: the three-minute film won more than 12 awards at various, including international, film festivals. Participation in the project of Anton Bormatov became a real springboard for Tkachuk. After "Alien" he received an offer to play the main role (Mishki Yaponchik) in the TV series by Sergei Ginzburg "The Life and Adventures of Mishka Yaponchik." This role brought Tkachuk wildly popular.

Perhaps negative emotions are fueled by frequent demonstrations of naked bodies in profile and from the rear and sickening footage of beatings and brutal torture. The musical accompaniment of the picture, which is based on the rotation of various retro radio stations, aggravates the perception. They do not create the effect of complete immersion in the atmosphere of the era. The drama of Anton Bormatov "Alien" (the actors confirm this fact) is not an adventurous gangster story with chases and shootouts, this is the author's reflection on the right to choose, evil and revenge.
