She went into the world of drawing and photography. Julia Bell studied painting at 6 colleges and universities. She must have been looking for something. The young woman married writer Donald Palumbo. His books, sexual and erotic, intrigued her. The marriage produced two sons, Anthony and David, who later became artists. But Julia's life changed once and for all when she met Peruvian artist Boris Vallejo in 1989.

Julia Bell has becomefirst as his model, then as a student, and after a divorce in 1994, as his wife. She became a model not by chance. She had a cast pumped-up body of a woman who is engaged in bodybuilding. This is exactly what is required in order to become a model not for a gentle fairy or nymph, but for a determined Amazon. Since 1990, Julia Bell has drawn over a hundred fantasy (illustration and covers), including for science fiction books and magazines. In the early 90s, the artist has an explosion of imagination, and she draws covers for video games. Images of their heroes are selling at an incredible rate. First there were the fictional characters of the Marvel Company who operated in the reality that was known as the "Marvel Universe".

Julia was the first to write the barbarian Conan for the comics (then he changed noticeably in the games). In this universe, places reflect real cities like New York. Her video games show a semi-barbarian world in the "wild land" (such as "The Legend of the Golden Axe"). In this game, the forces of darkness kidnap the golden axe, the king and his daughter. The task is to free them.

Perception of fantasy

No one would refuse to become like that or fight for such a girl, because a person associates himself with a knight or princess. The characters, saving themselves, show the heroism that is lacking in everyday life. And all this happens in amazingly beautiful interiors.

Duet of two artists

For some time now, Boris Vallejo and Julia Bell have ceased to be separated as authors. Together they made advertising pictures for such elite companies as Coca-Cola, Nike, Toyota. Julia Bell paints pictures with amazing technical realism. At the same time, there is still talent and great art. She has a beautiful warrior girl, a space cowboy tames a metal monster. Everything happens against the backdrop of desert hot rocks and sultryblue cloudless sky, covered with a sandy haze. Metal, as always in her paintings, is plastic, like leather, and sparkles like a mirror. This is a distinctive invention of the artist, by which you can immediately recognize her paintings.

Methodology

The extremely realistic style of Julia Bell conveys a powerful erotic sensual message to the viewer. It is emphasized by a very strong color, built on a combination of contrasts: black, scarlet, gold, pink, turquoise. Pastel shades are rarely used. All drawings are made from photographs. Julia instantly realizes the ability for creative imagination and fiction. This is how fantasy and surreal paintings appear. Living nature is rarely used.
