Williams Robin is a famous American actor who simply amazed all fans of his work with a sudden death. How did Robin's career develop and why did a successful, in all respects, personality decide to commit suicide?

Early years

Williams Robin was born back in 1951 in the famous city of Chicago. His father worked in business, in particular, he led one of the branches of the Ford automobile company. The mother of the future actor was a model.

Already at school, Robin had an extraordinary sense of humor and the ability to be funny. The boy quickly gained popularity: he was the president of the class, was a member of the school's freestyle wrestling and football team.

However, Williams did not immediately realize that he wanted to be an actor. After high school, he went to a men's college to study political science. A little later I got into the school of improvisations and realized that he was able to do it. Then Williams became a regular at the College of Theater Arts.

His professor - Mr. Jim Dunn - noticed the remarkable talent of the youngster and invited him to several theatrical productions that he staged with his students. Finally, in1973 Williams went to New York with the goal of getting serious about drama.

Career start

Back in the early 70s, Williams Robin began his acting career, performing in the stand-up genre. Mostly Williams found his audience in small clubs. And already in 1977, Robin was noticed by a television producer who invited him to television, to his program.

In 1978, a fateful event happened: director Penny Marshall saw the comedian perform in a nightclub and invited him to her comedy series. So Williams made his film debut in the serial film Happy Days. Robin's game captivated the viewer. Therefore, the producers later created a separate show for the actor - Mork and Mindy. Thus began a resounding success story for the stand-up comedian.

In 1979, the actor's photo was already on the cover of Time magazine and Rolling Stone. Until the 80s, Williams starred mainly in serials, and only occasionally got into the "big" movie. The first serious work of Robin in a feature film was the role of a sailor in the film "Popeye". With a budget of $20 million and a simple story, this film grossed $60 million at the box office thanks to the comedian's talent alone. Then there were "The World According to Garp", "School of Survival" and "Moscow on the Hudson". But important roles were just ahead.

Creative breakthrough

Films featuring Robin Williams attracted the viewer. By the end of the 80s, the actor became "like hot cakes".

Robin Williams: children and wife

Like his father, Robin Williams married a model. His chosen one in 1976 was Valeria Velardi. Together they lived for 10 years. Velardi gave birth to the actor's son. But in the mid-80s, Robin Williams was caught having an affair with a waitress, and the marriage fell apart.

In 1989, Robin marries again, but now to the nanny of his first child, Marsha Garces. Another wife gave birth to the actor two children - a daughter and a son, but the marriage broke up again in 2008

The last wife of Williams - designer Susan Schneider - did not give Robin a single child, but was with him until the end of his days. Together they lived in one of the mansions in San Francisco.

August 11, 2014, the actor was found hanging from his own belt in his home. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Williams had committed suicide. According to one version, he did this because of the progressivedepression: the actor suffered from Parkinson's disease and was afraid that he would no longer be able to act in films.
