Childhood of the future actress

Olga Mikhailovna Ostroumova was born in the Orenburg region, in the city of Buguruslan in September 1947. There were three more children in the family: sisters Raya and Luda and brother George. Student years

After receiving a school certificate in 1966, Olya leaves for Moscow to enter GITIS. Mom baked pies for her daughter and, wishing her good luck, put her on the train.

The path to the dream of yesterday's schoolgirl really turned out to be difficult. For the first time she found herself alone in a completely unfamiliar city for her, in which she had no relatives, no friends, no acquaintances. Olya did not know where her university was located, so she ended up at its door only in the evening, just miraculously having time to audition. The admission took away a lot of nerves from her, it was quiteheavy. And yet, young Olga Mikhailovna Ostroumova was accepted the first time. Her mentor was Varvara Alekseevna Vronskaya.

The beginning of a theatrical career

Olga Mikhailovna, whose biography is of interest to fans of her talent, began to appear on the stage of the Moscow Youth Theater since 1970. It was here that she received her first acting experience. She worked here for three years, and after Pavel Chomsky, her mentor, left the theater, Ostroumova also moved under the arch of the theater on Malaya Bronnaya. Alexander Dunaev, who was at that time the director of the theater, received the new actress rather warmly. The biography of the actress in cinematic art began with the film "We'll Live Until Monday", where she played the most beautiful of all the girls in the class. After the release of the tape on the screens, a huge part of the male audience was in love with the blond schoolgirl.

Despite the great success of this film, the real popularity of Ostroumova was brought by the role of Zhenya Komelkova in the military drama filmed in Karelia - "The Dawns Here Are Quiet". The film became a cult not only in the Soviet Union, but also far beyond its borders. Photos of Olga Mikhailovna began to be printed in many magazines of those years. The girl was showered with offers from directors. And yet, the young actress decided to refuse: it seemed to her that the potential work seemed to be written off from Kamelkova, and Olga did not want to become a hostage of one role.

The following films - "Fate", "Earthly Love", "Vasily and Vasilisa" brought her not only the love of the audience, but also awards.

But the role of Marina, the professor's daughter, which Ostroumova played in the comedy "Garage", did not give the actress much pleasure. She could not feel like a representative of the "golden youth" in any way, she had complexes and tried to go into the shadows.
