Soviet cinema holds a special place in the heart of every person born and raised in the USSR. “The Elusive Avengers”, “Girls”, “Wedding in Malinovka”, “Office Romance”, “12 Chairs” and other works of cinema of those times were remembered by the audience thanks to their good-natured jokes, truly talented actors, accurately and sincerely conveying the given image, phrases, which today have become "winged".

One of the most popular Soviet films is Spring on Zarechnaya Street. It was filmed in 1956 and tells the story of a touching love between a young teacher and a high school student. The director of this picture is Felix Mironer. In addition to this film, his list of works includes about two dozen projects.

Biography of Felix Mironer

The future director and screenwriter was born on January 14, 1927 in Kyiv (Ukrainian SSR).

Felix Mironer received his higher education at the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after Gerasimov, graduating from the directing department in 1950. During his studies, he became friends with another famousSoviet director Marlen Khutsiev. Together they made a short film "Urban Planners", which was presented as a thesis.

After graduating from VGIK, Felix Mironer worked at the Alexander Dovzhenko National Film Studio. He worked here as an assistant director. Then he went up. From 1955 to 1960 he was the director of the Odessa Film Studio. The work was fruitful and gave its results. In the period from 1960 to 1962, Felix Mironer served as director of the Mosfilm film studio.

In the future, Mironer decided to leave directing and come to grips with dramaturgy, creating scripts for films.

He died on May 27, 1980 in Georgian Pitsunda, having lived only 53 years.

"Spring on Zarechnaya Street" was the first picture he shot in his youth. Its success was resounding: a little more than 30 million Soviet people watched the film during the rental period. The painting remains popular today.

Two years later, the second film by Felix Mironer was released, called "Street of Youth". Like the previous work, it was created jointly with a friend from student days, Marlen Khutsiev.

The picture tells about the history of relationships within the youth team, who arrived to help in the construction of a new residential complex. Sympathy quickly flares up between boys and girls.

The success of "Streets of Youth" cannot be compared with the popularity of the director's previous work. Unlike "Spring on Zarechnaya Street",this picture received almost no response from the audience.

Felix Mironer's last film as a director was Shore Leave. The main character is sailor Nikolai Valezhnikov, who received a temporary dismissal from the ship.

As a screenwriter

The most popular film Myroner has worked on as a screenwriter is The Life and Adventures of Robinson Crusoe. The painting was created based on the novel of the same name by Daniel Defoe.

Another well-known work can be considered a fairy tale film "The Princess and the Pea". The plot was based on the works of Hans Christian Andersen "The Princess and the Pea", "Swineherd" and others.
