Vladimir
Shevelkov is a famous Russian actor who starred in more than three dozen roles. In the cinematic arsenal of this blue-eyed handsome man, a wide variety of images are collected, from positive romantic heroes to notorious scoundrels. Thanks to his talent for impersonation, Shevelkov looks very organic and truthful in any role, and each film with his participation becomes a memorable event.
Vladimir Shevelkov: biography
The date of birth of the future star is May 8, 1961, and the place is the city of Leningrad. Like most boys, as a child, Vladimir liked to misbehave and misbehave, he paid little attention to school, but he was seriously fond of athletics.
A handsome teenager was repeatedly invited to filming, but Shevelkov refused for a long time, because he did not dream of an acting career. After school heeasily entered the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute, and not by vocation, but because it was the easiest way to pass exams at this university.
In his first year, Vladimir was advised to call the Lenfilm film studio. Just at that time, directors Ernest Yasan and Nikolai Lebedev were looking for the main character for their film “I ask you to blame Klava K.” for my death. Shevelkov, although he doubted, nevertheless called, and he was invited to audition. After long rehearsals and photo tests, Vladimir was approved for the main role.
The success of the film was overwhelming, and Vladimir Shevelkov woke up famous. Of course, quick fame turned into a star disease, but it was fleeting and without complications.
After this debut role, invitations from directors rained down on Vladimir, and during 1979 the aspiring actor starred in three more films. In 1980, after attending the "Children's Film Week" in Kyiv, he was recommended to think seriously about the career of an artist.
Shevelkov heeded this advice and, leaving LETI, entered the famous VGIK on the first attempt.
Years of study at VGIK
While studying at VGIK, Shevelkov, a student, continued to be active in acting. As a sophomore (1982), he starred as a Red Army soldier Yamshchikov in the film by E. Tatarsky "For No Apparent Reason". In 1983, Vladimir played a major role in the film "Recognized Guilty" directed by I. Voznesensky. Shevelkov's hero, Nikolai Boyko, is a spoiled teenager suffering from a "superman" complex. because ofthe indifference of others and his own impunity, Boyko becomes a cynical killer. Igor Voznesensky knowingly chose Vladimir for this role. He considered that it was this actor who would be able to destroy the stereotype, and he did not lose. The hero of Shevelkov is such a handsome, intelligent and sweet young man that it is simply impossible to believe in his dark sides, and this makes him even scarier.
The film by I. Gostev "European History" (1984) was another opportunity for Shevelkov to demonstrate his many-sided talent. The main character named Tony is a youngster with the views of a real fascist. The actor played the charming villain so masterfully that the viewer felt deceived when the main character turned out to be the only decent member of his “sane” family.
From extreme to extreme
Films with Vladimir Shevelkov perfectly reveal his ability to play completely diverse roles: either he becomes the embodiment of women's dreams, or he causes genuine disgust. According to the actor himself, he was most afraid of the same roles, and therefore changed his image all the time.
A successful film career and constant employment had a negative impact on studies, so in 1984, in the fourth year, Vladimir Shevelkov was expelled from the institute. At that time, the actor already had 15 films on his account, in six of which he played the main roles. With such a "dowry" it was somehow paradoxical to "fly out" of VGIK due to professional insolvency. However, diploma actor VladimirShevelkov nevertheless received, however, a year later. And, by the way, thanks to their roles.
Midshipmen, forward
The next notable work of Vladimir was the 1985 film “Train out ofschedule” by Alexander Grishin. However, a serious success awaited the young actor after the role of Prince Olenev in the 1987 film "Midshipmen, forward!" Svetlana Druzhinina.
But Vladimir himself rated his work in this tape as his first acting failure. The team of actors was wonderful, but the relationship with the director did not work out right away, so Vladimir Shevelkov did not star in the sequels of the film.
Departure from cinema
Even during the filming of "Midshipmen", the actor began to think about leaving the cinema, as he felt that the scope of this profession became too narrow for him - he wrote poetry and prose, sang and dreamed of becoming a director. Going from one film to another, simply gaining experience and popularity - this was not enough for Vladimir. He perceived acting as a way of life, and not as a pure profession. The second important point was the material side: despite the fact that Shevelkov was a creative person, he nevertheless understood that it was quite difficult to achieve some goals without money.
In the late 80s, new films practically ceased to be made, it was simply impossible to make a debut as a director. Many actors had to completely migrate to the theater, and some were forced to leave the profession altogether.
Theatrical Rules Vladimirdid not understand. He believed that the theater did not allow revealing the emotional experiences of the character, and Shevelkov was not interested in playing without a soul, just so that the audience of the last row could see and hear the hero. But the actor also did not want to leave creativity forever.
Own business
Thanks to his acquaintances, Vladimir began working on Leningrad television, doing commercial and advertising projects. Oddly enough, it was for the actor himself, but he realized that you can do your favorite cinema and directing, creating small forms (videos, clips, presentations, etc.).
The beginning was quite successful, and very soon Shevelkov managed to organize his own company engaged in the production of video products, but also a big one
he did not quit the movie. By the beginning of the 90s, there were two works with the participation of Vladimir - these are the first and second films of "Hearts of Three" directed by Vladimir Popkov.
In 1993, Shevelkov played in two more films by Hungarian directors and decided to completely leave the cinema and devote himself to his company.
Shevelkov Vladimir: family
The beginning of the 90s was also the time when Vladimir had a change in his personal life - from a carefree bachelor, he turned into a husband and father. At the time of meeting his future wife Irina Shevelkov was 31 years old. The firstborn of a happy couple was son Andrey, and a few years later, daughter Sasha was born.
According to Vladimir Shevelkov himself, his personal life was 100% successful. Irina is raising her daughter, and Vladimir provides for the family, and not alone, but with his son Andrei. Shevelkov Jr. has already made his debut in advertising projects, and although the roles are insignificant, he still likes it, because he can already earn money.
Return to movies
Vladimir Shevelkov, whose filmography is already quite rich, is sure that he has not yet managed to play his cherished main role. All my life
the actor dreamed of transforming into the image of Lermontov's Pechorin and Bulgakov's Koroviev - these characters are especially close and understandable to Vladimir.
2004 was marked for Shevelkov's return to the cinema. After a long separation from the audience, Vladimir pleased them with his role in the Chronicles of the Homicide Department, where he played Senior Lieutenant Pavel Ikonnikov. His character is always closed, serious and even gloomy. According to Ikonnikov's scenario, he is a veteran of the recent Caucasian wars.
According to Vladimir Shevelkov himself, his filmography has been replenished with another interesting work. And his return to films was smooth and painless thanks to the amazing team of actors who starred in this project.
Future plans
The actor does not intend to leave cinema anymore, but he wants to act only in interesting films, as he can afford to work for pleasure, and not for the sake of acting fees. Vladimir Shevelkov is not going to give up his reliable business either, because it not only brings him good money, but also gives him the opportunity to do what he loves all his life. Shevelkov has more than five hundred successful commercials on his account, who have already become famous in Russia, and most of them are even known far abroad.
