From ancient times to the end of the Middle Ages, bows were the main throwing weapons. And in the Late Middle Ages they began to be replaced by firearms. Nowadays, bows are used in sports and hunting. Externally, this weapon is an arc on which a bowstring is stretched, and this article discusses how to draw it in several ways.
How to draw a bow and arrow
Drawing famous weapons is easy enough. To do this, you only need a blank sheet of paper and a pencil. Here's how to draw a bow and arrow with a pencil step by step:
- First, draw the body of the bow. Draw a curve that curls up at the end. It should look like a doorknob. Then add two rounded rectangles at each end of the rounded middle of this arc. This will give you a bow handle.
- Draw a straight line from one end of the case to the other. At a short distance from the bow, add a very thin and long rectangle - the base of the arrow.
- Draw arrow feathers as six inclinedquadrilateral. They should all be centered on one end, three on each side.
- Draw a pointed triangle at the other end of the arrow.
- Color your drawing. For onions, any color you like is suitable. The handle can be highlighted in a different color, and the arrowhead should look like metal, so use silver or gray.
The second way to draw a bow and arrow
To depict a bow and arrow in another way, draw a slightly slanted horizontal line with a pencil. Then add two more vertical lines that intersect with the horizontal line at a right angle and are closer to the right edge.
At the junction of the horizontal and the rightmost vertical line, we make a sketch of the bow handle. From the hilt, draw curved lines up and down to a second vertical stripe to represent the shoulders of the weapon.
Draw two slanted lines from the top and bottom of the bow to the horizontal bar.
On the right end of the horizontal line draw the arrowhead, and on the left end add plumage to it.
Erase the guide lines and draw some details.
