B. P. Astafiev is one of the most interesting representatives of Russian Soviet literature. It was not in vain that he was called the measure of conscience and morality of our time. Man and nature, man and war, village life, ecology of the soul and conscience, culture and humanity - these are the range of those questions, those problems that the writer raised in his works. Everything that he wrote is distinguished by sincere concern for our world, for the purity of hearts and sincerity of thoughts, for people to be imbued with a sense of responsibility to each other and to themselves, to feel the connection with their native land, fatherland, small homeland, feel the call of their ancestors. So that each of us clearly understands: here, in this life, we are not temporary wanderers, but links in the endless chain of humanity. And we live on the same planet, and the children of the same mother - Nature.
History of Creation
It is no coincidence that Astafyev called his story "Vasyutkino Lake". After all, far fromevery hero, especially if he is a little boy, will receive such a high honor. But Vasyutka deserved it! The work is strongly autobiographical in nature. It grew out of a small school essay, in which the then student Astafyev spoke about the adventure that happened to him. After all, being a seven-year-old child, he often went out with his father to fish for the artel. And in general, I knew a lot about the taiga, about its character, tricks and habits from my grandfather and grandmother, father. Therefore, Astafiev did not forget this case. "Vasyutkino Lake" from a student's work has grown into an interesting story about how to keep your presence of mind in the most unforeseen situations.
Why did the boy manage to escape, and even open an amazing corner of the forest? Because he did not forget the lessons taught to him by his elders, he did not fall into fear and despondency, he read the “secret book of the taiga”. Astafiev wrote “Vasyutkino Lake” with this: to tell people about the pristine beauty of their native places, about the kindness and wisdom of nature, its strict justice towards people.
The main idea of the work
Recalling and considering his childhood already through the eyes of an adult, wiser by experience, the writer so wanted to tell about the lake so that the souls of the readers would be in awe, so that they could vividly and vividly imagine it and a wonderful clearing in the forest. Just as an artist creates a picture with precise, ingenious strokes, so Astafiev describes Vasyutkino Lake with masterfully chosen words. He saw his task as a writer in the following: to make it clear to readers thataround them “there is a beautiful world” and they themselves also “are in this world”. After all, we all come into adulthood from childhood. And Viktor Petrovich believes: it is good that in our destiny there are such "lakes" - guiding stars that help us understand ourselves, cleanse ourselves, realize simple, but infinitely important worldly truths. This is the ideological meaning of the story.
Nature and man in the story
Astafiev brought out the two main characters in his work. "Vasyutkino Lake", the content of which we are considering, is a story about nature. Moreover, nature is not a background or a theatrical scenery. This is a special world that lives by its own laws. And he checks the true essence of people, determines who is capable of what. Nature makes Vasyutka go through trials, as a result of which he hardened, became stronger and more humane. It is nature that enables the boy to better appreciate the love and care of his mother, family, loved ones. It frightens, confuses, threatens, but also prompts, opens the veils. The main thing is to see, notice, understand, and for this, not only the eyes and hearing, but also the heart must be vigilant and sensitive. Viktor Petrovich Astafiev thinks so.
"Vasyutkino Lake" is a philosophical story, a modern parable that reveals the complex, multifaceted relationship between man and nature, as well as the endless cosmos within ourselves. Read Astafiev, because through his works, like Pushkin's, "you can educate a person in an excellent way."
