Among the representatives of Russian art there were many masters who realized themselves in various fields of creativity. Not only a remarkable poet, but also a talented musician and mathematician was the diplomat AS Griboyedov. Beautiful pictures were painted by M. Yu. Lermontov. Painting, music and literature almost equally attracted L. Pasternak. Mayakovsky did not stand aside in this list of brilliant personalities. He left behind the brightest mark not only in Russian Soviet poetry, but also in many other areas of our culture.
The Edge of Talent
Who Mayakovsky was is not an idle question. From the pages of school textbooks, a serious man with large, expressive features is looking at us somewhat frowningly, sternly and demandingly. Eyes pierce piercingly, as if they want to ask: “What did you do for the revolution and the new, Soviet power? What did he sacrifice for the good of the country? Who was Mayakovsky and what right did he have to judge his contemporaries and descendants? The answer is simple. First of allA poet who put his enormous talent at the service of revolutionary Russia. A person who determined the development of Russian art for many years to come. An innovator in the field of versification, literary theory. A great experimenter of rhymes, rhythms, images. But this is far from all of the list of those professions that Mayakovsky was! An artist-cartoonist, whose posters in ROSTA for three years not only reported on foreign and domestic policy, the situation at the fronts, but also served as an excellent propaganda tool. Editor of a revolutionary literary magazine. Film actor, director and screenwriter, playwright, publicist - this is who Mayakovsky was during his short, but extremely bright and eventful creative life. Like a comet, he raced across the sky of Russian art, leaving behind a shining light.
Mayakovsky the satirist
It is satire - the literary genre in which the poet was realized to a greater extent. Mayakovsky's work can be divided into several periods. But both his early works and poems of his mature era have one thing in common: complete rejection and caustic ridicule of philistinism, vulgarity, rudeness and lack of spirituality of life in all its manifestations. “A slap in the face of public taste”, deliberately outrageous images generalized to grotesque symbols, are saturated with his poems - from the first ones published in the collections of the Gilea literary society (“To You”, “Night”), to the best examples of the Soviet period: the magnificent”,“About rubbish”and many others. Yes, and the playwright and poet Mayakovsky also composed his plays in bright satiric altones. "Bedbug" and "Bath" are not just literary snapshots from the society of that time. They are relevant even now, because opportunists and moral freaks, alas, have not yet become obsolete.
Mayakovsky-lyricist
The loud-voiced poet-herald, Vladimir Mayakovsky, considered it his main task to improve, ennoble life, promote universal happiness, inflate that very “world fire” that will destroy physical enslavement and spiritual slavery in its flame, and become the source of the birth of a new psychology a new man - free, independent, working for the benefit of himself and his people. But few people know that Mayakovsky is a subtle, poignant lyricist who created poems that are amazing in touching and tragic intensity. It was not in vain that he compared the poet's heart with a fragile, defenseless, beautiful butterfly. It is enough to recall his famous “Lilichka!”, so that a completely different lyrical hero appears before us: gentle, vulnerable, loving devotedly and selflessly. “Tatyana Yakovleva”, “About this”, “Letter to Comrade Kostrov …” and many other works on a love theme are a vivid example of how versatile his talent is. What is interesting: in many lyrical texts, we clearly trace the notes of Nekrasov's civil poetry. Vladimir Vladimirovich also believed that the intimate, sacred should be closely intertwined with the civil, public. By the way, like Nekrasov, Mayakovsky's personal life was dramatic. He was not among the minions of fate, favorites of women. Each of his novels was more of a tragedy than a confluencehappy moments. And he left this world, being captured by the contradictions of love, creative, ideological. The Gordian knot of problems was "cut" by a pistol shot.
Creativity evaluation
Mayakovsky's artistic system consists of many elements, often contradicting each other, but in his work they make up a unique organic alloy. Everything is here: fantastic extravaganza and ancient tragedy, epic drama and buff mystery, comedy is intertwined with intense lyricism, and satire is adjacent to heroic pathos. Poems and verses about the Soviet people, about the difficulties they are overcoming, are filled with optimism and firm faith in the victory of the new system. Satire helps fight the remnants of the past and the ugly grimaces of the present. And only the lyrics reveal the soul of the poet, stretched like a string and piercingly ringing at every touch.
