Series structure
"State Border" - a television series in which the actors changed with each new part. All eight films are separate works that are united only by a common theme - the service of the border troops of the USSR.
At the beginning of the picture, the viewer gets acquainted with Vladimir Danovich, who served during the existence of the empire in the border troops and remained there to serve under the Bolsheviks. Vladimir had to apply all his endurance and courage to find his place in the new state and restore order in the border services.
In the second part of the film epic, Danovich and his comrades in the service are trying to repel attacks on the Soviet border by bandits and white émigrés.
The action of the third film takes place in the late 20s, when there was a conflict on the Soviet-Chinese border.
The painting "Red Sand" takes us back to the 1930s, during the confrontation with the Basmachi on the Turkmen border.
The fifth film is a story about the heroic service of the border guards in the turbulent 41 years, when the troops of the Third Reich invaded the territory of the Union Republics.
The next part tells about defending the territorial integrity of Western Ukraine immediately after the Great Patriotic War.
The penultimate film tells about the border operations that took place in the late 50s, and the fin althe picture takes the viewer back to the late 80s.
"State Border": actors and roles. Igor Starygin as Vladimir Danovich
Igor Starygin is well known to the Soviet and Russian audience for the role of Aramis in a series of films about The Three Musketeers. In the series of films "State Border", the actor was assigned the role of a principled officer Danovich, who remained faithful to his homeland, despite the change of power.
It was not difficult for Igor Starygin to play a military man: from childhood he well remembered the character and demeanor of his father (a military pilot) and grandfather (a high-ranking NKVD officer).
Starygin turned out to be a student of GITIS quite by accident: it was just that the exams in the theater were earlier than in the law. Igor successfully passed them and decided that since he was accepted, it means that this is fate. Many famous actors have been in this situation.
"State Border" glorified Starygin even more than the project "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers". The image of Aramis on the screens was given not so much time, but in the first two parts of the epic about the border guards, the artist had more chances to show his talent and character.
Alexander Denisov as Ivan Gamayun
Ivan Gamayun performed by Alexander Denisov appeared in three parts of the film "State Border". The actors and roles of the film saga instantly became popular among ordinary viewers, because the valor of Soviet officers and their courage were extolled in the frame.
Gamayun, unlike Danovich, from the very beginning was a zealous Red Army soldier. At first, they have a conflict with Danovich, but as soon as Ivan is convinced of Vladimir's loy alty, they become friends. Danovich even names his son after a friend. Together, these heroes serve in the updated border troops.
The role played by Alexander Denisov is a graduate of the Belarusian Theater and Art Institute. The actor does not have many famous films in his filmography. In 1975, he played midshipman Vakulenchuk in the drama "Front Without Flanks" with the participation of Vyacheslav Tikhonov. And in the 77th he took part in the adventure film "It was in Kokand", playing the commander Likhotelov.
Film "State Border": actors and roles. Vladimir Novikov as Alexei Mogilov
Aleksey Mogilov is a Red Army soldier who appears in the second and third parts of the series. He takes an active part in all operations carried out by the border services.
Vladimir Novikov was invited to the role of Mogilov. Novikov does not have a rich filmography, like many other actors involved in the series. The State Border is perhaps his most famous work.
In 1975, Novikov appeared in the Georgian film "Love at First Sight" along with Kakhi Kavsadze and Vladimir Nosik. And in 1986, Vladimir played Semyon Godunov in Sergei Bondarchuk's historical film Boris Godunov.
