Vitaly Shlyappo is a screenwriter, general producer and one of the founders of the YBW (Yellow, Black and White) company, which has been producing comedy series and programs in Russia for more than ten years: "Kitchen", "The Last of the Magikyans", " You give youth”, “Daddy’s daughters” and others. Recently, the company began to make Russians laugh in full-length format: “Walk, Vasya!”, “Kitchen in Paris”, “This is what is happening to me.”

Biography

Shlyappo Vitaly was born in the Belarusian city of Vitebsk on June 18, 1975. After school, he entered Vitebsk State University, where he studied as a teacher of mathematics.

In the mid-1990s, while studying, he began to actively participate in KVN games (as part of the BSU team). After his election as captain, the team became the champion of the Major League 2 times.

It was then that Vitaly realized that he wanted to connect his future with creative activity, and not with his profession.

Career

Vitaly Shlyappo started development in 2002script for the satirical television program "Put out the Lights" at the Pilot-TV studio in Moscow.

In 2003, he moved to REN TV, where he wrote scripts for popular comedy series and entertainment programs in collaboration with A. Trotsyuk, a former colleague on the KVN team. Among their joint works: "Students", "Brand Story", "Dear Transfer", "Faculty of Humor", "Tourists" and others.

In 2005, Vitaly Shlyappo moved to the STS channel along with most of the creative team of the former KVN participant A. Murugov. There he became a developer, screenwriter and creative producer of many well-known projects:

  • sitcoms "Think Like a Woman", "Toys", "Kitchen", "The Last of Makikyan", "Traffic Light", "Unformatted" and others;
  • comedy sketch shows "MosGorSmekh", "Give Youth", "6 Frames", "One for All", "Unreal Story" and others;
  • comic programs "Thank God you came" and "Ural dumplings".

In 2008, together with E. Iloyan and A. Trotsyuk, Vitaly became the founder and general producer of the Yellow, Black and White holding.

In 2009, in tandem with A. Trotsyuk, he won the TEFI television award for the series "Daddy's Daughters" in the nomination "Screenwriter of a television feature series."

In 2011 he left STS. Despite this, Vitaly continued to develop most of the projects specifically for this channel (Hotel Eleon, Kitchen, Ivanovy-Ivanovy).

In 2017, Vitaliy Shlyappo's production company sold the content library produced for CTC to Solaris Promo Production.

On January 1, 2018, the new Super channel, owned by Gazprom Media, began broadcasting. Its schedule included, among other projects, several premieres from YBW, on which the company has been working for several months.

Among them:

  • new series "IP Pirogov", "Creators", "Fitness", "Outside the Game", "Psychotype";
  • sketch show "In Short";
  • show "Best Chef", "Blondes on Tanks", "Funny Time", "Good Evening", "Top Model. Children";
  • "Office full of vegetables" (animation project).

New premieres expected in the third quarter: "Call DiCaprio", "Culinary Academy" (spin-off "Kitchen").

In total, the channel "Super" is planning to show twenty premieres of exclusive production during the first two years. The YBW team is responsible for creating this content.

It is produced for the channel by TCT Production studio, and the founders of Yellow, Black and White became the producers. They have a long-term exclusive contract: they are responsible for channel marketing and programming.

Today, the entire YBW team (more than a hundred people) works only on this channel. They don't collaborate with anyone else on TV.

Personal life of Vitaly Shlyappo

In September 2010, the wedding of Vitaly and his fiancee Maria took place. The couple lives in Moscow.

In his free time, Vitaly Shlyappo likes to watch films directed by Mark Zakharov andwatch Moomin cartoons.
