The purity of the lines and the genuine enthusiasm of his predecessors captivate the young man, and he hurries to share his emotions with his canvas. Then he decides that he will continue to travel, comprehending the world and culture of Western civilization.

After Europe, the future artist I. E. Grabar returns to Russia, creative metamorphoses take place with him. Six years of travel left a mark in the soul of the painter, which he honed on his canvases.

However, upon arrival at home, the master finds a new source of inspiration for himself, which will become the main theme of his work - the beauty of Russian nature.
