Mark Rozovsky is a multifaceted personality. He is a composer, playwright and artistic director of the theater all rolled into one. Mark Grigorievich has the title of People's Artist of Russia. Born in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in 1937. In 1960 he was educated as a journalist at Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov. 4 years later, Mark Grigorievich passed the Higher Script Courses. Russian playwright M. Rozovsky in 1976 became a Member of the Writers' Union of the Soviet Union. In the 60s of the 20th century, he worked in magazines, where he kept satirical columns. In 1975, Mark Rozovsky staged a rock opera called Orpheus and Eurydice. It was the very first performance of this genre in our country.

In 1983, M. Rozovsky created a theater called "At the Nikitsky Gates". Until now, he is its artistic director. The first performances that Mark Grigorievich staged at the Nikitsky Gate Theater: The History of the Horse, Romances with Oblomov, Poor Liza, Uncle Vanya, Doctor Chekhov. M. Rozovsky wrote many plays for his theater: "Songs of Our Court", "Vysotsky's Concert at the Research Institute", "Kafka: Father and Son", "Red Corner", "Triumphal Square" and so on. Mark Rozovsky wrote the script for the famous and beloved Soviet film "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers". The playwright has a large family. He has three children from three different wives.
