Norman Osborn is a fictional character in the comic book and cinematic universe of Marvel Comics.

Short biography

Norman Osborn studied chemical and electrical sciences at college.

Sworn as a child that he would achieve more than his father, whom he despised because he drank heavily and humiliated their mother, Norman studied hard and eventually founded his own company called "Oscorp".

Once Norman Osborn stumbled upon a formula that could significantly improve the physical parameters of a person, primarily his strength. While working on this serum, he makes a mistake that causes an explosion in the laboratory. The substance affected Norman himself, he became stronger physically, and his mental abilities increased significantly. However, a side effect of the serum was Osborn's insanity, which eventually caused him to become the universe's supervillain known as the Green Goblin.

Under his new alter ego, Norman Osborn begins his criminal activities, wanting to become the leader of the New York mafia. The main trump card, thanks to which he will have to strengthen his position in the underworld of the city, he considers the murder of Spider-Man, one ofthe key antagonist of which he becomes.

First, Osborn needed to find out who is hiding under the mask of Spider-Man, for this he develops a special gas that blocks the spider's sense of smell.

Following him, he learns that Peter Parker, a classmate of his son Harry, is the famous superhero.

All attempts to defeat Spider-Man by kidnapping his loved ones ended with the loss of the Green Goblin's memory, which constantly returned to him. However, he never managed to come out victorious in the confrontation with Peter Parker.

The character's first appearance in comics was in 1964, when he appeared to the public in the form of Goblin, but he appeared in the face of Osborn for the first time 2 years later in 1966.
