Almost all fictional literary works that fall under the genre of action novels can boast of powerful intrigue. "Pulp Fiction" by Jesse Kellerman

We start our today's list with Jesse Kellerman, who is the author of the action-packed novel Pulp Fiction. In each work of the writer, the subtlest psychologism and intellectuality are felt. Fucking Story by Bernard Minier

"Hounds of Lilith" by Christina Stark

One day a mysterious girl named Lilith enters a Dublin cafe - it is from this event that the exciting narrative of the action-packed love story "Lilith's Hounds" begins. The main character, Skye Polanski, accepts a job offer as a secretary at the Boston Clinic. The girl is tired of constant failures on the love front and is ready for large-scale changes in her life. However, she soon learns that her new job is not quite what it seems. The clinic is just a front for another sophisticated business that has it all: a beautiful life, luxury and a sense of adrenaline. But free cheese is only in a mousetrap, so Skye is waiting for events that will turn her whole life upside down.

"Annihilation" by Jeff VanderMeer

The events of the next book develop around a certain Zone X, which has been separated from the main continent for several decades now. Eleven expeditions were sent out by people whose purpose was to explore the Zone and report the collected results to their superiors. Members of the first expedition returned with tales of untouched paradise valleys. The second expedition was declared a failure when all its members took their own lives. Those who were part of the third expedition staged a shootout, in which they themselves died. The last, eleventh expedition also ended in failure, and all its participants soon after returning fell ill with an aggressive form of cancer and died suddenly.

The reader is introduced to the twelfth expedition, which includes four women: an anthropologist, a biologist, a psychologist and a topographer. Together, they must travel to Zone X in order to fulfill their main task - to describe the area by making a detailed map, stock up on valuable samples, prepare a written report on what is happening and, of course, survive.

"Closed Day" by Blake Crouch

And our today's list is completed not just by an independent action-packed novel, but by a book-continuation of the best-selling series by author Blake Crouch. "Dayclosed doors "promises to complete the story of the writer Andrew Thomas, who is suspected of committing several terrible crimes. In the final part of the trilogy, Andrew fled and is now hiding in the Canadian forests. It would seem that he masterfully covered his tracks, but sooner or later he still will have to face the ghosts of the past.
