"Lyapis Trubetskoy": from triumph to final

When a Belarusian group with a comical name appeared in September 1989, they borrowed it from the hack-poet N. Lyapis, who chose the sonorous pseudonym Trubetskoy from the novel "The Twelve Chairs", no one foresaw that the musicians would produce such a sensation and will delight its fans with such an incendiary repertoire for many years.

Mikhalok

The Lyapis Trubetskoy group was headed by student Sergei Mikhalok, who had shown creative talent since childhood. He then studied at the Institute of Culture, and the members of this punk rock band together could most often be seen only at concerts. And that first line-up also included D. Sviridovich - bass guitarist, R. Vladyko - guitarist, A. Lyubavin - drums.

How did it all start?

For the first time, the group loudly announced itself at the Three Colors festival. After the musicians successfully performed in the capital's House of Teachers, along with others, where the festival marathon of similar musical groups was held, they began to seriously rehearse.

Maybe things would have turned out differently, but, as you know, talents need to be promoted. And in 1994, a meeting took place with E. Kolmykov, who appreciatedcreativity and enthusiasm of the guys, offered them earnings if they perform at the show, which should take place on the territory of the recreation center of the tractor plant.

Then another significant event happened - for the first time the group went on their tour with the rock opera "Space Conquest". The Bambuki theater traveled with the musicians, where, like in the Japanese Kabuki theater, only men played, and S. Mikhalok was the leader.

Gradually, the musicians are becoming more and more famous, participating in various festivals along with popular bands.

To please their fans, they decide to release their own cassette using the footage from the Alternative Theatre. They released it, deciding to call it “Love Kapets!”, Then a collection will appear under the same name, and it will be already 1998. But so far, out of a hundred cassettes, no more than 20 have been sold.

In 1995, all members of the "Lyapis Trubetskoy" group were not particularly engaged in creativity, there were minor changes in the line-up, now V. Bashkov was a bass player. But the following year, during a concert performance at the Chess Palace, a fateful meeting with E. Kravtsov took place. He offered to record the band at Mezzo Forte Studios.

But first a trumpeter, a violinist, a French horn and another guitar appeared in Lyapis Trubetskoy. This decision was successful, as evidenced by this fact. The album called "Wounded Heart" was immediately sold out - all 200 cassettes. They then sold in thousands of copies.

Further there was a presentation in the Minsk House of Trade Unions of the program"Smyartnaya vyaselle", and the hall did not accommodate all the fans, so many stood in the corridor, and on the street a large crowd was eager to at least see their idols. It was October 4, 1996.

But the closer to the end of the year, the more dissatisfied the fans of the group with its creative success.

However, the musicians did not allow to be disappointed, having won several prestigious awards at the "Rock Coronation-96" at once, proving that they are the best group with the best album of the year and the best lyricist.

In 1996, already in Moscow, another album was recorded - "You threw it." Not all songs are new. And at the end of 1997, the first clip was shot using plasticine animation.

The group actively tours not only in the cities of Belarus, but also in Russia. These are no longer amateurs, but real professionals

In 1998, active work is underway to release another album. It's called Beauty. But at the same time, the tour does not end, a new album is being recorded, which has the working title "Heavy".

At the same time, the group creates an association designed to advertise positive music that gives a good mood to everyone. The association is called "Children of the Sun".

2000s

In 2001, according to many critics, one of the best albums of the group, “Youth”, was released. In April 2004, an album appeared that many fans loved - "Golden Eggs", soundtracks are being actively recorded.

The musicians delighted with a solo concert in the "Orange" club, performed their compositions andnew ones and old ones. This event took place on November 25, 2005.

And in 2007 for a successful clip the group received a prize at RAMP, in 2009 new significant awards - ZD-Awards, "Chart Dozen", etc. And the work on new albums is constantly going on, numerous concerts are held.

Decomposition

However, everything ended on March 17, 2014, when S. Mikhalok announced that the group no longer exists. Officially, this information was confirmed on August 31. The songs of Lyapis Trubetskoy are legends.
