Childhood of a curious baby

In the port city of Odessa in the south of the Ukrainian SSR, in the family of a pediatrician and a Soviet officer, on March 25, 1950, a tiny little peanut was born. Since dad was a military man, the family had to move quite often from one city to another. For some time they lived in Baku (the capital of Azerbaijan), but then returned to their hometown again. At the age of four, Boris read well, later success accompanied him in the study of other subjects. It was at home, in Odessa, that Burda graduated from high school with a gold medal: he was always an excellent student, receivedgreat pleasure in learning. However, he was easy to learn.

Sometimes these were small revelations: from a small set of simple products available to a family with an average income, one could cook a very tasty and unusual dish. In just a few episodes, the popularity of the program broke all conceivable and unthinkable records.

In such a simple way, his favorite hobby (and he learned to cook during his first marriage, in which his wife could not stand the kitchen and everything connected with it) brought Burda a very significant income. In addition, he became the author of a dozen books on the art of cooking, the first of which was published 16 years ago in Tallinn. The rest went through the publishing houses of Russia and Ukraine.
