Almost every movie or series has positive and negative characters. However, not all of them are endowed with a certain charisma, which is possessed by the demon Crowley from the popular American mystical television series Supernatural. And although the authors of the project originally conceived the King of Hell as a secondary character, the audience liked him so much that they decided to leave him and include him in the main storyline. So who is this colorful hero? Why is he remarkable? And why doesn't he cause negativity like other demons?

The demon Crowley is first described by a certain Becky Rosen (according to the script, she is an ardent fan of the series of the same name books about the adventures of the Winchester brothers) in the 5th season of the series Supernatural. In one of the seasons, Crowley helps defeat Lucifer and imprison him in a cage. Later, he will be cruelly deceived and humiliated by him, which is why he is forced to run away, leaving the crown and leaving the realm of hell.

Lucifer, in turn, could have got rid of his eternal opponent a long time ago. However, he plays with him and mocks him. But the demon Crowley does not give up and periodically hatches long-term plans to seize power.

Mutual cooperation with the Winchester brothers

Hatred for his opponent leads our negative character to unusual cooperation with the Winchester hunters, whose task is to destroy all possible undead and save humanity from another Armageddon. Having rendered a service to the brothers, he helps get rid of Lucifer and returns power to his hands again.

However, this is just one example of the partnership between the King of Hell and the monster hunters. From time to time their fates intertwine. And despite the complete opposite of the parties, the Winchesters and Crowley often help each other out. But in general, the hunters and the King of Hell may well exist peacefully, occasionally clashing in small fights. He affectionately calls them "boys" and sometimes calls just to chat about life.

Crowley's prototype demon

It is believed that our negative character became the prototype of one of the English poets born in 1875, who was a cabalist, occultist and tarologist. His name is Aleister Crowley. The demon in this case took from him an interest in otherworldly forces and a penchant for black magic (after all, his mother was a powerful witch).

By the way, in the Supernatural series there is another demon, but already bearing the name Alistair. According to the plot in one of the seasons, he served as the chief infernal executioner, specialized in horrific torture of people and supernatural beings. He was especially cruel and deceitful.
