Roman Zlotnikov, whose bibliography is given in this article, is a popular Russian writer. He works in the fantasy and science fiction genres. He is the author of several series of popular novels and has won numerous awards.

Writer's biography

Zlotnikov's bibliography contains a large number of different works. He was born in the closed city of Arzamas-16 in 1963. He received his secondary education in Obninsk, where the future famous bard Mikhail Shcherbakov studied with him.

Roman Zlotnikov received his higher education at the Higher Military Command School in Saratov. Having received a diploma, he served in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 1986 he married, a year later his daughter Olga was born.

In 1992, already in the rank of captain, Roman Zlotnikov came to the Obninsk branch of the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There he taught psychology and shooting. Participated in scientific conferences, published in authoritative publications. In 1993, his son Ivan was born.

Zlotnikov finally retired in 2004 with the rank of police colonel.

Fantastic action movie

Firstworks in the bibliography of Zlotnikov appeared relatively late, only in 1998, when he was 35 years old. He began to write science fiction, by 2013 his books had already been released with a total circulation of about 10 million copies. First of all, he became famous as a master of a fantastic action movie.

Literary debut

Zlotnikov's first independent literary experience was a space opera called "Swords over the Stars". This book was published in 1998.

This novel occupies a special place in Zlotnikov's bibliography. It is part of the Eternal series. After its release, the books "Rising from the Ashes", "And the many-faced came …", "The Last Raid" also appeared. The same series includes several books written by Zlotnikov in collaboration with other authors. These are "Hunt for a Hunter" with Nikolaev, "Khoahhin" with Budeev and "Survivor from Yermak" with Minakov and Volkov.

Arwendale

This series is considered one of the author's most popular. The novel of the same name "Arvendale" by Zlotnikov was published in 2004. The works related to this cycle are written in the genre of classic fantasy. They have a lot of orcs, elves, gnomes. But this is only on one side. On the other hand, there is a feeling that everything described in these books is only a bright and talented parody of Tolkien and his followers.

At the same time, the author from time to time goes deep into the description of such incredible races that one simply marvels at his imagination. Complex and dramatic intrigues constantly arise between them, bloodthirsty battles are accompanied by fascinating reflections on the nature of power. Berserkers

Zlotnikov's "Berserkers" series tells about a post-apocalyptic world that survived an alien invasion. The Earth turned out to be conquered by hordes of Aliens who have been enslaving people for several decades, turning them into genetic material for a developed techno-civilization.

But there are still uncontrolled populations on Earth. One of them is berserkers, warriors who have dedicated themselves to the god Odin. Mankind forgot about them back in the Middle Ages, but in vain. Now it turns out that they are hardly the only hope for salvation for all people.

The first novel in this series, "Rebellion at the Outskirts of the Galaxy", describes the state of affairs on a planet that has survived an alien invasion. The air defense systems of Russia and America were completely destroyed when the invasion began, they did not even have time to put up the slightest resistance. Cansquebrons land on Earth, for whom our planet is just another target in intergalactic space. Their main goal is to destroy the existing version of civilization.

After the first novel, Zlotnikov wrote a sequel. In 2000, a new book was published called "Fighters from the Outskirts of the Galaxy", and in 2008 "Princess from the Outskirts of the Galaxy".

The Way of the Prince

The writer's series "The WayPrince". Critics and readers have described it as social and even Christian fiction.

Events in one of the novels take place in Moscow in the 21st century, and in the rest - in space. These dislocations are united by the Path of the Prince, which few people are able to enter at all. Most of the people forever have to remain warriors or peasants, only a few can aim at the status of a prince. The main essence of this is not in their skills and abilities, but in the responsibility for the world that they are ready to take on.

Zlotnikov also writes in the alternative history genre. For example, a cycle called "Tsar Fedor" belongs to this direction. It includes the novels One More Chance, The Eagle Spreads Its Wings and The Eagle Soars.

The protagonist of this trilogy is a Russian millionaire, a successful entrepreneur who suddenly falls into a time hole, finding himself in the body of a 10-year-old Russian prince in the Time of Troubles.
