Sebastian Koch is a popular German theater and film actor. Born May 31, 1962 in Karlsruhe (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). Sebastian spent his entire childhood in Stuttgart. He was brought up only by his mother, because his father left the family after his birth. Initially, the boy wanted to become a famous musician. At the age of seven, he enrolled in a musical circle, where he learned to play the violin. Once he was lucky enough to meet director Klaus Palmanno, and he seriously thought about pursuing an acting career. In 1985, Sebastian Koch graduated from the acting school. Otto Falkenberg in Munich. In the same year, he became a student at the Munich Youth Theatre. However,after studying here for one semester, on the recommendation of one of his friends, he moves to Berlin, where he enters the State Theater.

Acting career

In 1986, Sebastian Koch (pictured below) makes his filming debut in a cameo role in a German crime series called "Crime Scene - Power of Destiny", which was televised at night with a red box.

The actor is best known for his role in the mini-series Napoleon (2002), where he played Marshal Jean Lannes. The mini-series illustrates the battles of the famous French commander Napoleon: the battles of Preussisch-Eylau (now the city of Bagrationovsk), Waterloo, Austerlitz and the flight from the Russian Empire. The picture also showed the personal life of Bonaparte: his marriage and divorce from Josephine Beauharnais, marriage to Marie-Louise (daughter of the last Holy Roman Emperor Franz II), as well as love relationships with E. Denuel and M. Walewska (Polish noblewoman, daughter headman of GostynMatvey Lonchinsky).

After filming the movie "Napoleon" Sebastian Koch began to declare himself as an actor of international scale.

In 2006, the actor receives the vacant Bambi and Best Actor 2006 awards. This year for Koch was marked by universal recognition and respect. After all, he starred in the legendary film directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck called "The Lives of Others". Here he played the role of Georg Dreyman. This film was awarded the Best Foreign Film of 2007 category.
