There is a wonderful film based on the novel by A. N. Rybakov "Dagger". He tells about the life of Soviet children after the revolution. The children themselves write the script and stage the performance on their own. It was from these sources that the Youth Theater originated.
Deciphering the word TUZ
During the period of passion for abbreviations, another one was born - Youth Theater. So they began to call the theater of the young spectator, on the initiative of Lunacharsky, created in Moscow in 1920.
As soon as it appeared, the theater became extremely popular. The transcript of the Youth Theater has become widely known. Narkompros decides to expand this undertaking. There are many theaters with the same name in all major cities of the country.
I must say, it was a unique decision in the world theatrical world. Before that, there were no children's theaters. Plays were staged for children, but children's drama as a direction of theatrical activity did not exist.
The roles of travesty and ingénue are in demand like never before.
The theater that educates
It quickly became clear that children needed more colorful action, games with the audience, special effects. The very transcript of the Youth Theater does not allow you to forget about a specific audience.
Preschool and primary school age is a shallow general knowledge and the inability to concentrate for a long time. Adolescence is an increased criticality and emotional vulnerability.
In modern Youth Theaters, many plays are staged according to the school curriculum. Sometimes the deciphering of the word Youth Theater is heard from the teacher for the first time, when the whole class attends the desired performance without fail.
If everything was limited to just this, it would be very sad. But, fortunately, most of the children's theaters are headed by extraordinary people. K. S. Stanislavsky said that children need to play much better, thinner, more perfect.
The Three Musketeers
Creativity, humor, enthusiasm - this is how the decoding of the Youth Theater looks like during the performance of the Moscow theater "Three Musketeers". The premiere took place in 1974, the performance became a cult for the Moscow creative youth. It is staged all over the country and abroad, success is guaranteed.
Twenty-seven-year-old V. Kachan plays eighteen-year-old D'Artagnan. According to the text, he is asked how old he is. He replies, "You won't believe it. Eighteen". Hall applauds. The whole performance was filled with such funny little additions to Dumas.
His main idea is friendship, for which the heroes are ready to give their lives. Honor, a forgotten concept, is resurrected on the stage and grows in receptive children's hearts. These spiritual human values became the magnet that attracted the performance.
In 1978, the same creative team makes a three-part film withMikhail Boyarsky according to the same scenario. Again a resounding success. The songs of the musketeers are sung by the whole country, children are playing with homemade swords and Dumas is reading. Youth theater, deciphering the abbreviation, is not a dry name. This is the banner of the theater of youth.
Romeo and Juliet
In the seventies, based on the play by M. Roshchin, they put on "Valentin and Valentina". This is the eternal Shakespearean story of lovers, when relatives become an insurmountable obstacle in life. And again, a wave of productions of this play is taking place all over the country, a film is being shot, school and folk theaters are not inferior to the famous ones with full houses.
Now the Nizhny Novgorod Youth Theater holds the play "Romeo and Juliet" in its repertoire. The viewer watches with bated breath. It seems like this is all happening right now. This is the only way to talk about love, especially to young people. The decoding of the Youth Theater does not allow any falseness and vulgarity to penetrate the stage. It is forbidden. Even the most junior theater illuminator understands this.
The performance is in the Saratov, Tomsk, Donetsk Youth Theaters. Whether the director transfers the action to our time or the actors play costume roles, the essence does not change.
It's not so important what the Youth Theater is called. The decoding is the same for the whole world. Now there are Youth Theaters in any country. But the first is still Moscow. Take the time to go see a teen show. And you will see how much better they put on for children than for adults.
