Dragon Pokémon are a separate type of pocket monster that belongs to one of 17 elemental subtypes. They got their name due to their resemblance to the heroes of fairy tales.
Dragon Pokémon are popular with trainers as they have super attack abilities and can counter almost any kind of Pokémon.
Dragon type: brief description
Dragon Pokemon are in almost every Pokemon Trainer, as they are universal soldiers - strong, hardy, capable of inflicting damage to the vast majority of species.
The only drawback of dragons (compared to other types of pocket monsters) is their long evolution. Pokemon trainers are always interested in developing their characters to the perfect stage, and the dragon type in this regard realizes itself much later.
But the strength and attacking ability of dragons is so great that even the starting stages of these monsters guarantee victory in battles against rivals of other species that have already evolved. CP (average Pokemon Power, Stamina, and Attack) in Pokemon GOdragons are always high, and there is no need to develop them ahead of time.
Attack of Dragons: Who are these Pokémon unstoppable against?
Dragons are able to fight and deal a crushing blow to all types of Pokemon, except for steel monsters - the attacking power of flying giants is powerless against them. However, if a Pokémon is not a pure dragon type, but is a dual-type fire/dragon, then with the use of firepower, it can even withstand its sworn enemy.
Dragon's 200% maximum attack efficiency is applied against its own type. Electric, Fire, Grass, and Water pocket monsters deal 50% damage to dragons, but beware of Ice Pokémon - their attacks have a double threat (200%).
Although Dragon-type Pokémon are naturally strong, they have only 12 attacks in their arsenal. And 10 of them are the physical power of the dragon type, and the rest are the ability to analyze (smart attack).
Dragon Pokémon List
The number of pocket monsters that have a dragon type, single or basic, reaches only 22. They are the second smallest number of elemental-type Pokémon, behind only ghosts.
100% dragons include:

- Dragonair.
- Dradigon.
- Haxorus.
- Frakxur.
- Axue.
- Bagon.
- Shelgon.
Practically "purebred" dragons are Dragonite, Altaria,Salamens, Latyas, Latyos, Reykvasa, Gibble, Gabyte, Garchomp, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kurem. The last dragon is the rare case when ice attacks will be powerless, as the pokemon combines the power of ice pokemon.
