The biography of Oleg Yankovsky begins on a cold winter day, when on February 23 the third son appeared in the family of Marina and Ivan Yankovsky. They named the baby Oleg. It was a difficult year in 1944. Until 1951, the family lived in the Kazakh city of Dzhezkazgan (since 1994 the city has been called Zhezkazgan). Oleg's father (his real name is Jan Yankovsky) is a nobleman, a former guards officer, staff captain, belonged to the Polish nobility and was a comprehensively developed person.

In 1951, the Yankovsky family moved to the city of Saratov. It is in this city, having changed his original dream of being a doctor, Oleg enters the theaterschool and in 1965, under the guidance of the teacher Bystryakov A. S., he successfully graduated from it. When he was soon enrolled in the corpse of the Saratov Theater, Yankovsky was already married to Zorena Lyudmila.

At first, Oleg got small and insignificant roles in the theater, but by a lucky chance, when the theater was on tour in Lviv, he was noticed by the famous director of the film "Shield and Sword" Vladimir Basov.
