10 male voices, different and unique… They sing everything that can be sung, and these works become masterpieces. One day they broke into the air a cappella, without any musical accompaniment, and became famous.
How did it all start?
Today everyone knows the art group "Turetsky Choir", composition, style and repertoire. Back in 1990, this group sang in the choral synagogue of Moscow, and only a narrow circle of amateurs knew about it. The permanent head of the ensemble, Mikhail Turetsky, headed it even then. It was Mikhail who came up with the idea to go out into the world and try the a cappella style in front of the general public. And so the future group "Turetsky Choir" was born.
A little about Turkish
Mikhail Turetsky was born in 1962 to a family of Belarusian Jews. His musical talent showed up at an early age, and his parents decided to give him a suitable education.
Mikhail graduated from the choral school and "Gnesinka" - Musical Institute. Gnesins. Having received a diploma, in 1989 he announced a competition among vocal musicians who wanted to sing in the male choir of the Moscow synagogue. The Turkish dreamed in this way to give a second wind to the Jewishspiritual music. The Jewish tradition used the technique of singing a cappella, that is, without musical accompaniment. And so the unique manner of performing the future art group "Turetsky Choir" was born. The composition of the team was supposed to be purely professional.
Rich touring experience has become a source of new ideas and a new role for the band. Less than 10 years have passed since the birth of the choir, when Mikhail Turetsky brought the ensemble to the wide stage, pronouncing a completely new word in music - “art group”.
"Turetsky Choir": line-up
Open Turkish musical style is the limitless vocal and artistic possibilities of the performers. The group combines in its repertoire not only different times and ethnic groups, but also the manner of performance - from a cappella to pop performance with choreographic elements.
The team consists of 10 soloists representing all varieties of male voices: from the lowest key called bass profundo to the high male timbre called tenor altino. To date, the Turetsky Choir group has the following composition:
- Alex Alexandrov - born in 1972, dramatic baritone, assistant choreographer, old-timer of the team.
- Boris Goryachev - born in 1971, lyric baritone.
- Vyacheslav Fresh - born in 1982, the youngest soloist, counter-tenor.
- Eugene Kulmis - born in 1966, poet and translator, bass profundo.
- Evgeny Tulinov - born in 1964, dramatic tenor, deputy artistic director,Honored Artist of Russia.
- Igor Zverev - born in 1968, bass cantanto.
- Konstantin Kabo - born in 1974, baritone tenor, composer.
- Mikhail Kuznetsov - born in 1962, tenor altino, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
- Mikhail Turetsky - born in 1962, permanent leader and head of the group, lyric tenor, Honored and People's Artist of Russia.
- Oleg Blyakhorchuk - born in 1966, multi-instrumentalist, lyric tenor.
All members are professional musicians, not limited to just vocals.
Female group - original move
Mikhail Turetsky never stops looking for new opportunities. At some point, it seemed to him that the work of the group lacked the specifics of female vocals. So in 2009, a variation of the Turetsky Choir group was born - the Turkish SOPRANO female group.
From the very beginning it became clear that Mikhail's new brainchild would be as unique as the male art group. Only the most brilliant professionals passed the casting, equally attractive to the public not only externally, but also creatively.
The same author's brand, the same form, filled with new feminine content. All soprano keys and all variations of singing styles are represented in the group. The team has a quality characteristic of the "Turetsky Choir": the girls have practically no restrictions in the repertoire, so "Turetsky SOPRANO" has no analogues in the world of music and variety.
Turetsky's male or female team performs on stage - it's always brightshow, action, musical event with a powerful energy intensity, leaving a deep imprint in the hearts of the audience!
