Many viewers prefer serials. They especially love Russian series about the police. And this is not surprising, because it is in these films that courageous and strong people are shown who fight evil every day. These series are always popular.
Let's talk about them a little more.
Background
Let's start with the fact that such films enjoyed the attention of the audience back in Soviet times. It was then that film works based on the detectives of Yulian Semenov were filmed, the heroes of which - courageous and courageous Soviet policemen - waged a merciless struggle against the elements of the underworld.
The fact is that such Russian series about the police (there were a lot of them after the war) aroused a genuine interest in the audience in the fate of the heroes.
In this regard, we can recall the famous series, consisting of 5 episodes, "The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed", which aroused great interest from Soviet television viewers (the film was shown on the Day of the Police precisely as a series). In fact, all the films that followed him repeated the same plot line: a police detachment, whichfights with a gang of robbers or murderers, clashes between defenders of the law and criminals, shadowing, chases, shots, dramatic collisions.
All this was very liked by ordinary Soviet people, who wanted to see on TV screens not only aging leaders talking about milk yields and the number of root crops, but also people whose lives are fraught with everyday risk.
Thus, Russian series about the police fell in love with Soviet viewers since the 60s of the last century. However, one famous series played a big role in this, the name of which has become a household name …
The very "experts" who are always ready to go into battle
Of course, speaking of the most famous series of Soviet times, we mean a series about expert policemen who unraveled more than one criminal act. At first, films were released in black and white, then they were already shot on color film. In the series, in addition to the three main characters - an investigator, an operative and a female expert - a lot of well-known actors were filmed. The plots were written by famous playwrights, many episodes evoked a lively public response. So, for example, after a series about forging paintings by famous artists and smuggling them abroad, Soviet legislation in this area was tightened.
The series ceased to exist after the collapse of the USSR. Already in the 2000s, the filmmakers tried to shoot several new episodes, but they could not financially recoup themselves.
Modern films
However, the country in the 90s neededtheir heroes, not gangsters from the main road, of which there were many in those turbulent times, namely the heroic policemen.
And so the series appeared, its creators devoted it to broken lanterns and the streets on which these lanterns were supposed to stand.
Russian serials about the police acquired a completely new context. Now the heroes of these series were not ideal people, they lived on a beggarly salary, experienced everything that happened to the country, but did not lose honor and courage.
The series immediately fell in love with the audience, the songs from it became hits, and the creators were able not only to recoup their project, but also to mount several hundred episodes.
Thus, Russian series about the police began to appear on the screens more and more often. We can include the famous "Cops", "Sniffer", "Trace" and so on. And even though some of them were based on Western remakes, the interest in them is still quite high.
Female series
Russian films-series about the police were enriched in the early 2000s with a new genre, which can be attributed to the female series. The fact is that the main character of this series was a woman - a real Amazon, who waged a ruthless fight against the underworld. It was a kind of innovation of the last decades, because even in the Soviet TV series the heroes were men, not fragile ladies.
However, such a plot move came in handy. The audience liked the films. Gained particular popularitythe main character of the film "Secrets of the Investigation" is Maria Shevtsova, who from series to series investigated bloody and complex crimes.
Television practice shows that Russian series about the police continue to be popular (2016 brought several new and interesting works, for example, a series about a black cat gang, which premiered on Channel One).
