One of the most famous paintings of the Soviet period - "Height". The actors and roles of this film were known to everyone in the sixties. Unfortunately, today the names of many talented Soviet actors are forgotten, which cannot be said about Nikolai Rybnikov. The artist, who has more than fifty roles on his account, will forever remain in the memory of fans of Russian cinema. It was Rybnikov who played the main role in the film "Height". Storyline
The film is based on the work of the same name by Evgeny Vorobyov. Screenwriter - Mikhail Papava. The picture tells about the work of assemblers on the construction of a blast furnace. A team of workers arrives from another city. The foreman - Konstantin Tokmakov - is a responsible, conscientious person. Brigadier - Nikolay Pasechnik.
Nikolay meets the welder Katya. This girl is strong-willed and self-confident. And when she rejectsPasechnik's courtship, he is quite surprised, because Nikolai is used to easy victories.
There is another storyline in the movie. Tokmakov's boss, Deryabin, is a careerist, a cunning, cowardly person. There is no agreement in the family of the head of construction. Masha's wife does not work anywhere, she does not love her husband. And perhaps that's why, one day she came to the construction site, she met Tokmakov and fell in love with him.
One day during construction work, the beekeeper falls from a great height. But, of course, he does not die, but, on the contrary, becomes a hero. Nikolai ends up in the hospital, where Katya takes care of him. As in other Soviet films, good triumphs over evil in Vysota. Deryabin leaves. Nicholas marries Katerina. The last episode shows the grand opening of the blast furnace.
Star cast
The actors took their roles in Vysota very seriously, despite the fact that they were already fully established artists. Rybnikov was already a real star by the beginning of the filming of this picture. Inna Makarova, who played Katya Petrashen in the film, had the Stalin Prize behind her back. Thus, all-Union famous actors played in the film about assemblers. Roles in "Height", however, were not easy to perform even for such experienced artists. After all, I had to work in harsh conditions.

The actor proposed to her in the winter of 1957, before the premiere of the film "Height". Rumors about this quickly spread. And therefore, after Rybnikov's hero uttered the phrase that he was finally parting with his bachelor life, the hall stood up and burst into applause. This is how the fans congratulated the actor and his future wife.
Inna Makarova's personal life was not so successful. Two years after the release of the picture "Height", she divorced her first husband, Sergei Bondarchuk.
