The roles of mutants incapable of articulate speech were entrusted to local residents, since in this case their native language did not matter. Wrong Turn 6 director Valery Milev is known for such films as Code Red and Reboot.

The role of Danny was played by aspiring British actor Anthony Ilott. Before working in this horror, he played only in the theater and on television. Anthony Ilott is not the only Englishman among the cast of 2014's Wrong Turn 6. The role of Gillian was played by the British singer Roxanne Pallett, known to the audience for her participation in the horror comedy Lake Placid. Another Englishman, Chris Jarvis, whose film career has developed mainly in television soap operas, embodied on the screen the image of Jackson, one of the mysterious caretakers of an abandoned hotel. His sister Sally, who is obsessed with the idea of procreation of the cannibal family, was played by American actress and screenwriter Sadie Katz. Her character turned out to be the most complex and multifaceted in this picture.
