The plucky robots had a few true human friends, but the closest was a shy high schooler named Sam Witwicky.

Due to the constant skirmishes between the inhabitants of Cybertron, the planet died, and the robots began to wander to find a new home.

One day, the Autobots discovered Earth. But while they were exploring the planet, the Decepticons arrived here and decided to seize power over humanity. Good-natured Autobots stood up for people, and soon the Earth became a new arena of confrontation with people from Cybertron.

First appearance of Sam Witwicky in Michael Bay's "Transformers"

In the 2007 Transformers film, the background of the transforming robots entering the human planet is told very briefly at the beginning of the picture. And then all the attention is paid to a teenager named Sam Witwicky. He is a slightly shy guy who has a crush on the pretty Michaela in his class, but the girl doesn't notice him.

To get her attention and improve his status at school, the guy persuades his father to buy him a car. However, Sam's new car turns out to be a transformer named Bumblebee. He is sent by Optimus Prime (leader of the Autobots) to protect the guy. The fact is that Sam had the things of his great-grandfather, with the help of which you can find Megatron (the leader of the Decepticons), who is in suspended animation.

Fighting evil Transformers, Bumblebee and Sam Witwicky become friends. Together, they manage to mend relations between the US government and the Autobots. And after Megatron rebelled, it was Sam who played a decisive role in defeating him and the Decepticons. At the same time, he showed remarkable courage and courage, which earned him the respect of Optimus and other Autobots.

In the second tape, events take place 2 years later. Sam Witwicky graduated from high school and is going to college. While sorting through things before leaving, the guy finds a T-shirt that he was wearing when he fought the Decepticons. A fragment of the Spark was preserved on it (an artifact that revives mechanical devices, turning them into transformers). The guy pricked himself on him, and he begins to be haunted by visions in which he is shown how to find the Matrix of Leadership.

The Decepticons find out about what happened to Sam and start hunting for him. In college, a pretty girl, Alice Pretender, shows attention to a young man. However, she turns out to be a Decepticon in disguise, who wants to get information about the Matrix from the guy.

Sam miraculously manages to escape from Alice and Megatron, but Optimus dies in the fight against the leader of the Decepticons. The Witwicks and Bumblebee hope that by finding the Matrix of Leadership, they can revive Prime and save the Earth. But the found artifact disintegrates in the hands of a young man.

Despite this defeat, Sam Witwicky finds the strength to fight on and almost dies trying to revive Optimus. In his dying visions areghosts of powerful ancient Primes that help the guy revive his friend and give Sam a new life.

The revived leader of the Autobots leads the resistance, and the good Transformers defeat the Decepticons again.

Later, Sam, along with Bumblebee and Prime, learn that a wrecked Autobot ship was previously found on the moon. It contained parts from a device capable of moving Cybertron from the past. However, if this is done, many people will die.

Optimus isn't ready to go for it, but the Decepticons trick him into helping build the device. Realizing his mistake, Prime, along with Sam, save everyone again and defeat their enemies.

Sam's personal life

In addition to saving the world three times, Witwicky also had a stormy personal life in the Transformers films. In the first two tapes, Michaela was his faithful companion. Despite her beauty, the girl sincerely fell in love with a nondescriptSam, and when he went to college, she was worried that he would stop loving her.

The guy agrees to sacrifice everything for his beloved, but Prime and his associates find out about the plans of the opponents and help Witwicky save Carly.

Why is Sam Witwicky missing from Transformers 4

In the summer of 2014, the fourth part of the epic film was released. But in this picture there were not many characters from the first films. In addition to Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and a few other robots, there were no other heroes from previous films in the Transformers 4 film. "Where's Sam Witwicky?" - many viewers were perplexed. Indeed, his absence is not explained in the film, and the transformers themselves behave as if the guy was not their close friend and did not save the world with them three times.

If the plot of the picture does notSam's absence was played up, then in an interview, the leading actor - actor Shia LaBeouf - explained that he was no longer interested in the Transformers epic, and he left the project on his own initiative forever.
