The future Russian theater and film actress was born on February 24, 1956 in the village of Bzagash, Krasnoyarsk Territory. The girl showed acting abilities early, and therefore no one was surprised when, after school, she made a firm decision to go to conquer the Northern capital.

In 1975, Natalia Fomenko entered LGITMiK, where she studied in the class of L. A. Dodin and A. I. Katsman.

After graduating from high school in 1979, the young actress was sent for distribution to the Tomsk Youth Theater, where she worked until 1983. Then Natalia Fomenko returned to Leningrad, where she became a member of the troupe of the Youth Theater and worked in the Lenconcert.

The next job of the actress was the Leningrad Maly Drama Theater, on the stage of which she played a lot ofroles. By the way, at the time of Fomenko's transition to a new troupe for her, she was led by Natalya's teacher - L. A. Dodin. He was well aware of the great acting talent this young actress had.
