Currently one of the most popular literary genres can be considered fantasy. This trend was formed in art relatively long ago - in the 15th century, but became widespread only in the middle of the last century with the release of such works as John Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, Clive Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia and others.

Today, many writers have devoted their entire work to the fantasy genre. It is easy to see why this direction is so popular among both authors and readers. The fantasy genre is broad and falls into many categories. That is why everyone can find something suitable for themselves.

One of the modern Russian writers who create fantasy novels is Miloslav Knyazev. At the moment, his authorship belongs to about two dozen works. One of the most famous is the Dragon God book.

Writer's biography

Miloslav Knyazev, also known as Vlad Vladykin, was born on January 16, 1973 in the USSR, in the city of Kaliningrad. After someAfter the birth of their son, the family moved to Klaipeda, one of the largest cities in Lithuania. It was there that the future writer spent almost his entire life.

Miloslav Knyazev also received an education in Klaipeda, first graduating from school, and later from a technical school as a designer.

The author himself considers March 15, 2010, the day of the beginning of his writing career, when the first page of his debut novel en titled "The Great Mission" was written. The work was the first in the "Complete Set" cycle, which also included subsequent books - "Revenge of the Dark Elf", "God Dragon", "Empire" and others.

However, we can say that Knyazev began to create fantastic stories much earlier - as a teenager. These were short stories, the main characters of which were the girls of young Knyazev.

To date, two cycles ("Full Set" and "Lost"), three single novels, as well as several short stories have been released under the name of Miloslav Knyazev.

Bibliography. Complete Set Series

This cycle was created by the writer in the period from 2010 to 2015. The "Complete Set" consists of 11 novels: "The Great Mission", "Revenge of the Dark Elf", "Home Castle", "War with the Orcs", "Dragon God", "Empire", "Homecoming", "Magic Fiore", Dragon Island Pirates, Legacy of the Ancients, and The Other Side.

The basis of the plot was the so-called "hitting" - a classic technique that is often used in fantasy works. Main character -an ordinary guy from the familiar world, suddenly found himself in a completely different reality. In the universe he entered, magic is quite common. In the course of his adventures, the hero meets various fantastic creatures: orcs, gnomes, dragons, elves and others.

Each book of the cycle contains a separate storyline, as it develops, new characters appear in the story.

Reader reviews of Dragon God, Grand Mission and other books in the series suggest that this series can be a great way to have fun and pass the time. An easy-to-understand manner of narration and an interesting plot are noted.

Lost Cycle

The Lost series includes four novels, the latest of which was released in 2016.

As in the case of the "Full Set", the main character Oleg is again a hitman. The annotation of the first book "The Lost Player" says that, having woken up after a party, he got into a computer game called "Avryworld" and became a virtual copy of a person who died in reality. All combat characteristics of Oleg are practically at zero, and there is only one sword in the inventory. This means that the hero needs to develop his skills in the game as soon as possible. A girl named Skrill will help Oleg with this.

Soon, the hitman manages to adjust to his new life in the virtual world, but in subsequent novels, more problems and adventures await him.

Novels outside of cycles

Miloslav Knyazev also created several works that are singlenovels. One of them is "Paladin of the Rebel God", released in 2012. According to the plot, the main character Kirill Ognev suddenly finds himself in another world in the body of a paladin. Now his mission is to save the world called Gintriya and find a way to return home to his familiar reality.

Such novels, unlike the books "God Dragon", "Lost Lord", "Empire" and others, are not included in any cycles.

In 2014, the book "Tankman - the Slayer of Dragons" was published, according to the plot of which the "simple Russian guy" Maxim finds himself in the very center of the confrontation between technology and magic. The young man has to create a tank controlled by sorcery and fight against giant dragons. Thus, "God Dragon" is not the only novel by Knyazev about huge fantastic lizards.

Writer Awards and Prizes

In 2017, Miloslav Knyazev became the laureate of the RosCon award. He was awarded the "Golden RosCon" for the novel "Heritage of the Ancients" from the "Full Set" series.

Also in 2011, the author was nominated but did not win the Star Bridge Award in the Best Debut Book category.
