She graduated from this educational institution in 1940, and immediately she was accepted into the staff of Mosfilm, and a little later Soyuzdetfilm. Her film debut took place back in 1938, but popularity came after the film "Mashenka", which was released in 1942. The actress starred in many films, and also worked in the theatercinema studios. In her first films, she played young girls, and since the end of the fifties of the last century, Vera Altaiskaya began to embody character roles. These were evil aunts, drunkards, flirtatious ladies, and so on. It was these roles that helped the actress to fully reveal her talent.

Private life

Vera Altaiskaya, whose films were loved by many, married for the first time to her colleague Alexei Konsovsky. Together they played in such films as Lermontov, The Sailor's Daughter and Masha. In this marriage, a girl was born, who was named Svetlana. When my daughter grew up, she began to work on television and inbroadcasting committee. When the actress developed a bad habit of drinking, her husband and her daughter left her, greatly experiencing a breakup. It so happened that Sveta died before her mother. Vera Altai experienced this grief with her husband.
