"The Transporter" is not only the famous action movie with Jason Statham in the title role, consisting of three fascinating parts and filmed from the script of Luc Besson. There is also a great series based on these films about a fearless secret cargo transporter. The series "Transporter", the actors and roles of which, although not as famous and memorable as in the magnificent trilogy, will be a discovery for many - either completely charming or irrevocably disappointing.
Highlights
It was the masterpiece creations of Luc Besson in the form of three parts of "The Carrier" that provoked the emergence of a whole multi-part project. However, the younger brother of the trilogy remained in the shadow of the older one - this is evidenced by the lower rating, and fewer reviews, and the average ratings of film critics, and not at all a Hollywood cast (the roles of the actors in The Transporter are also quite interesting and bright, but before the level of the roles of the actors in the films "Transporter" still falls short).
All this despite the fact that Besson himself had a hand in writing the script. The series consists of two seasons, and the creators so farundecided whether to proceed. It is not surprising, because they do not observe much excitement around their offspring. However, if generous funding is found, and persistent viewers demand a continuation, a third season is inevitable.
Storyline
The storyline is identical to that of the films. The differences of the serial "Transporter" are in the actors, roles, interpretation of events, setting and approach to the disclosure of characters. According to the script, Frank Martin used to serve for the benefit of the Special Forces, and then decided to change his specialization a bit. He plunged into crime and became quite a weighty figure in the underworld. His task is to silently and dispassionately transport certain goods to their destination, which are better not to talk about.
Such a mission requires from the main character strong concentration, powerful combat skills, the ability to cope with unexpected obstacles and the desire to protect the cargo even at the cost of his life. A great driver, a man who knows how to keep his mouth shut and part-time a well-aimed shooter - the almighty Frank combined these qualities in order to keep the viewer on their toes and deliver real action every episode.
Composition
Shooting took place in the US, Canada, France and Germany, which provided the picture with impressive landscapes and added credibility to the action. It was directed by Brad Turner, Eric Valette and Andy Mikita. Chris Vance stars in The Transporter. This Briton practically did not work in full-length films,giving preference to serials. "Escape", "Dexter", "Co-workers", "Kate's Broker" are just some of the ones in which he appeared.
Just like in the film "Transporter", the role of this actor makes him look stylish, "kill" a working machine with an enviable frequency and handle guns cool, so there is also plenty of bread and circuses here.
